The first five weeks of the season have not been kind to NFL survivor pool players.

On Sunday, two of the week’s biggest favorites lost, continuing a pattern that has become all too familiar for the season to date. As a result, scores of survivor pool contestants were eliminated once again.

Those who remain in the hunt for NFL Week 6 games deserve more than a tip of the cap. Below, we take a deep dive into the options for this week’s pick.

Hits keep coming for NFL survivor pool players

Last week had two hefty favorites in advance of kickoff: 49ers -7.5 at home versus the Cardinals, and Seahawks -7.5 at home against the Giants.

San Francisco suffered a stunning one-point loss, and the undermanned Giants pulled out a 29-20 upset. As luck would have it, those two teams were the most popular choices in the Circa Sportsbook survivor pool for Week 5.

The surprising results eliminated over half of the remaining contestants. A steady stream of upsets all season long has left only 226 entrants alive in the Circa pool as we get ready for Week 6.

Biggest moneyline favorites for NFL Week 6 games

Five teams have implied win percentages of over 70% based on the current Week 6 moneyline odds: the Eagles, Texans, Ravens, Falcons, and Packers

Philadelphia returns from a bye week to welcome a Browns team that has been struggling mightily while dropping three straight. Meanwhile, Houston will be on the road to face a Patriots team that’s riding a four-game skid.

Baltimore is a sizable home favorite over the Commanders, the surprising leaders of the NFC East at 4-1. Atlanta will take on the 1-4 Panthers on the road, and Green Bay will be at home against a Cardinals team that’s fresh off its upset of the 49ers.

Based on the current state of play and this week’s opponents, the Eagles, Texans, and Falcons will likely be popular options among survivor pool contestants who haven’t used those teams yet.

The rest of the Week 6 schedule

After the top five favorites, the rest of the games feature potentially tighter matchups. To start things off, the 49ers will be in Seattle to take on the Seahawks on Thursday Night Football in a battle of teams looking to rebound from upsets.

The Bengals entered the season as one of the top five favorites in 2025 Super Bowl odds. Now 1-4, the team will try to turn things around on Sunday Night Football at the Giants, a squad that pulled out one of last week’s stunners.

On Monday Night Football, it’s a battle for control of the AFC East chase. The Bills have dropped two straight to fall to 3-2. They’ll take on a 2-3 Jets team that parted ways with head coach Robert Saleh after its second straight defeat.

Elsewhere on the schedule, there are a number of matchups that sportsbooks see going either way, including the Jaguars and Bears facing off over in London. Add it all up, and it could be another week with potential landmines for survivor pool players to avoid.

A sneak peek at NFL Week 7 lines

Early betting lines are available for Week 7 games. Based on the current point spreads, there appear to be a few sizable favorites:

The Eagles are one of this week’s biggest favorites, and there could be another chance for them to be a popular selection next week. The Bills and Jaguars appear to have tight games on tap this week but could have an easier road next time around.
