The New York Jets fired head coach Robert Saleh on Tuesday after the team suffered a 23-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London on Sunday. It was the team’s second consecutive loss, dropping its record to 2-3 on the season. QB Aaron Rodgers is dealing with an ankle issue and is questionable for this game. RT Morgan Moses is also questionable with a knee injury.

Week 2: New Orleans Saints 20, Carolina Panthers 17
This NFC South contest was a battle of field goals in the first half as the visiting Saints went into the break with a 6-3 lead. In the second half, Tony Jones Jr. scored a pair of rushing TDs to give the visitors a lead. Adam Thielen hauled in a late TD for the hosts, but it was too little, too late. The game was a push for spread bettors as New Orleans was a three-point favorite, while the total was just under the 39.5-point line.
Week 2: Pittsburgh Steelers 26, Cleveland Browns 22
For the second straight week on MNF, one of the game’s top stars went down to a season-ending injury. Nick Chubb suffered a knee injury, leaving Jerome Ford to take charge of the Cleveland backfield. Week 3: Philadelphia Eagles 25, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 11
The Eagles traveled to Tampa Bay as six-point favorites. The game was knotted 3-3 early, but Philadelphia took charge for the next five scores, including a Jalen Hurts rushing TD. Baker Mayfield hooked up with Mike Evans for a fourth quarter TD, but they couldn’t close the gap any further in a 14-point defeat. Monday Night Football made its debut on Sept. 21, 1970. The Cleveland Browns defeated the New York Jets by a score of 31-21 in the inaugural game. MNF aired on ABC from its inception through 2005, when coverage shifted to ESPN.
