QB projections for Week 3

Patrick Mahomes

Mahomes entered the season as the betting favorite in NFL MVP odds. He remains on top of the odds board with the Chiefs off to a 2-0 start. Kansas City will be in the Sunday Night Football spotlight against the Falcons this week. Through two games, Mahomes is averaging 221 passing yards per game and has thrown for three touchdowns and three picks.

Josh Allen

The Bills will be part of this week’s Monday Night Football doubleheader as they welcome the Jaguars. Allen has thrown for three TDs and rushed for two more thus far. He threw for 232 yards in a Week 1 win over the Cardinals and for 139 in last week’s road victory over the Dolphins. Allen is currently second in MVP odds.

C.J. Stroud

The Texans are off to a 2-0 start and remain the favorite in AFC South division winner odds. Stroud holds down the third spot on the MVP odds board. He’s averaging 247 passing yards per outing and has thrown for two touchdowns thus far. Houston is on the road this week to take on the Vikings, who upset the 49ers last week to move to 2-0.

RB projections for Week 3

Saquon Barkley

Barkley made his debut for the Eagles in their opening win over the Packers. He stole the show, racking up 132 combined yards and finding the end zone three times. Barkley was held off the scoresheet in last week’s loss to the Falcons but still delivered 116 total yards. Philadelphia will be in New Orleans to face the 2-0 Saints on Sunday.

Jonathan Taylor

The Colts are off to an 0-2 start and will try to snap that skid versus the 1-1 Bears on Sunday. Taylor, the 2021 NFL season-long rushing yard leader, had 135 total yards on 14 touches in last week’s loss to the Packers. Through two weeks, he’s averaging 75.5 rushing yards per outing and has notched a touchdown.

Bijan Robinson

The Falcons are 1-1 as they get ready to host the Chiefs on SNF. Robinson is still looking for his first TD of the season. He’s averaging 82.5 rushing yards per game. Robinson is also generating yards as a pass catcher, hauling in five for 43 in an opening loss to the Steelers, and four for 25 in last week’s win over the Eagles.

WR & TE projections for Week 3

Ja’Marr Chase

It has been a slow start for both Chase and the 0-2 Bengals. He took a pass on training camp and preseason action due to a contract dispute, a situation that has yet to be settled. Chase has 10 receptions for 97 yards thus far. This week, the Bengals face the 1-1 Commanders, who have allowed an average of 227.5 yards and six TDs through the air on the season.

CeeDee Lamb

Though two weeks, Lamb has nine receptions on 17 targets for 151 yards and a touchdown. Dallas is 1-1, taking down the Browns in their opener and losing at home to the Saints in convincing fashion last time out. The 0-2 Ravens are coming to town, with the point spread hovering around a toss-up. Baltimore has allowed an average of 257 passing yards per game.

Travis Kelce

The undefeated Chiefs remain the betting favorites in 2025 Super Bowl odds as the team strives for its third consecutive crown. Kelce hasn’t been much of a factor in the passing attack thus far, with four receptions on seven targets for 39 yards. He had five receiving TDs a season ago but is still looking for his first of this campaign.
