Favorites to score a touchdown for college football Week 3
Alabama QB Jalen Milroe
Milroe is tied for fifth in the latest Heisman Trophy odds. The Crimson Tide are off to a 2-0 start and have outscored opponents by a combined 105-16. Returning starter Milroe has more than done his part, throwing for five scores and rushing for four TDs. Alabama is a -16 favorite as they travel to take on Wisconsin.
Oklahoma State RB Ollie Gordon II
Gordon and the Cowboys had a tough time against visiting Arkansas last week. After trailing 21-7 at the half, they managed to rally for a 39-31 victory in double overtime. A week after scoring three times, Gordon was held mostly in check but still found the end zone once. A season ago, Gordon had 22 total TDs, the second-most in FBS.
Oregon WR Tez Johnson
The Ducks are 2-0, but it hasn’t been easy. They pulled out wins over Idaho and Boise State, missing the cover both times after entering as double-digit favorites. Johnson has 15 receptions thus far, most on the team, for 80 yards and a pair of TDs. Oregon is a -16.5 favorite at rival Oregon State, with the over/under set at 50.5 points.
Texas RB Jaydon Blue
Texas has impressed through two weeks of action and is currently third in the latest College Football Playoff odds. After shutting out Colorado State, they picked up a convincing win over defending champion Michigan. Blue leads the team in total touches and has one TD thus far. The Longhorns are a heavy favorite over visiting UTSA on Saturday.
Colorado WR Travis Hunter
In the opener, Hunter ripped off three TDs as Colorado pulled out a victory over North Dakota State. He had 110 receiving yards but failed to score in last week’s 28-10 loss to Nebraska. The Buffaloes are off to face rival Colorado State, with the total set at 58.5 points. Colorado won last season’s meeting 43-35 in overtime.
