USC vs. Colorado betting preview

USC takes its perfect 4-0 record on the road this week. The club has scored 40+ points in all four games while winning each by double digits. Colorado dropped to 3-1 with a 42-6 road loss to Oregon on Saturday, silencing a little of the hype that the team has been receiving under head coach Deion Sanders. The Trojans are heavily favored and have won all 16 of their meetings with the Buffaloes, including a 55-17 victory last season.

Georgia vs. Auburn betting preview

Georgia is 4-0 and remains the favorite to win this season’s national championship. The biggest knock against the two-time defending champ is that it hasn’t been as dominant as many observers were expecting in advance of the campaign. Auburn enters at 3-1, with a 27-10 loss at Texas A&M last time out. The Bulldogs are riding a six-game winning streak over the Tigers, with a victory last season by a score of 42-10.

Notre Dame vs. Duke betting preview

Notre Dame fell to 4-1 with a tough 17-14 road loss to Ohio State on Saturday. The club has fallen to 11th in the latest AP poll and will look to get back on track with another road game against a ranked team. Duke is a perfect 4-0 and ranked 17th. The club has won its four games by double digits, but it’s a home underdog for this one. The Fighting Irish are 3-1-1 against the spread this season, while the Blue Devils check in at 3-1.

College football Week 5 futures report

There has been a shift in the chase for the College Football Playoff. Defending national champion Georgia remains the betting favorite, followed by Michigan holding down the second spot on the board. Florida State and Ohio State are neck-and-neck for the next two places, with Texas, Penn State, and USC behind them.

The race for the Heisman Trophy has tightened up. USC QB Caleb Williams has been the betting favorite since the start of the season, but he’s now in a battle with Washington QB Michael Penix Jr. for the top spot in the latest odds. Williams has 18 total TDs for the 4-0 Trojans, while Penix Jr. has thrown 16 TDs for the 4-0 Huskies.

USC and Washington will meet on Saturday, Nov. 4, in a battle that could have a huge bearing on the Pac-12 standings and the chase for the CFP. Texas QB Quinn Ewers is third in current Heisman odds, followed by Florida State QB Jordan Travis and Oregon QB Bo Nix.
