It’s another packed slate for college football Week 4. The action gets underway with a handful of primetime matchups on Thursday and Friday, followed by wall-to-wall games on Saturday featuring many of the nation’s top 25 teams.

College football’s Week 4 schedule gets underway with a few games on Thursday and Friday night before the action heats up with a busy Saturday slate. Here’s a look at three of the featured matchups: 

Colorado vs. Oregon betting preview

The most talked about story in the world of college football has been the early season success of Colorado under head coach Deion Sanders. The 19th-ranked Buffaloes take their 3-0 record on the road this week for a Pac-12 showdown with 10th-ranked Oregon, who also enter at 3-0. The Ducks are heavy home favorites for this must-see matchup. 

Ole Miss vs. Alabama betting preview

Two ranked SEC teams renew their rivalry in Tuscaloosa. Ole Miss is ranked 15th and a perfect 3-0, while Alabama ranks 13th with a record of 2-1, dropping a home game in Week 2 to Texas. The Crimson Tide hold a 58-10-2 advantage in the all-time series, and are riding a seven-game winning streak over the Rebels.  

Ohio State vs. Notre Dame betting preview

Two of the nation’s most storied programs square off under the bright primetime lights in South Bend. Ohio State is ranked sixth and enters at 3-0. QB Kyle McCord has officially been named the starter for the rest of the season. Notre Dame is also 3-0 and ranked ninth. Transfer QB Sam Hartman is off to a fantastic start, racking up 15 total TDs thus far.

College football Week 4 futures report

The chase for the College Football Playoff remains in the same shape as last week. Defending champion Georgia is the betting favorite, followed by Michigan, with Texas, Ohio State, and Florida State rounding out the top five. USC, Penn State, and Notre Dame are lurking behind them. 

In the race for the Heisman Trophy, USC QB Caleb Williams remains the favorite and has racked up 13 total TDs for the 3-0 Trojans, but the odds have tightened. Washington QB Michael Penix Jr. holds down second place, followed by Texas QB Quinn Ewers. Next up in the latest odds are Notre Dame QB Sam Hartman, and Florida State QB Jordan Travis.
