Super Bowl 59 injury report

Bettors always keep a close eye on the injury report before the Super Bowl and have particular interest this year in a key player: Eagles QB Jalen Hurts.

Both teams are relatively healthy coming out of their respective conference championship games, but there are some players whose conditions bear monitoring if you’re interested in Super Bowl betting

Hurts shook off a knee concern that cropped up during the divisional round to help Philadelphia dominate the Commanders and vault into the second Super Bowl of his career. He has now had an extended opportunity for rest thanks to the additional week off, which should prove invaluable heading into Super Bowl Sunday.

Jalen Hurts injury report

Hurts didn’t presently carry an injury designation as the Philadelphia Eagles headed into some off-week practices. The star signal-caller had originally suffered a left knee injury in the divisional-round win over the Rams but played through it, although he donned a brace to finish out that game.

Hurts then was able to practice in limited fashion Wednesday and turned in full practices Thursday and Friday during NFC championship game prep, clearing the way for him to enter the matchup against the Commanders without any injury tag.

Hurts began the game with the brace as he’d mentioned he would late in the week, but he quickly discarded it during the first half and finished with his most rush attempts (10) since Week 15 while also throwing for 246 yards and a touchdown, seemingly playing without any restrictions on his mobility.

Consequently, it doesn’t appear Hurts will ultimately head into the Super Bowl with any tangible concerns regarding the knee, although official practice reports will offer more insight.
