The field continues to shrink in NFL survivor pools.

For those who remain in the hunt for NFL Week 5 games — or those who are taking a crack at second-chance survivor pools — there are plenty of options to consider for this week’s pick.

Another week, another big favorite goes down to defeat
The Jets were the latest heavy favorite to lose. On Sunday, New York walked onto the field as a -8.5 favorite versus the visiting Broncos.
It was a rainy and unpleasant day at MetLife Stadium. As a result, neither offense could get into gear, but Denver did just enough to exit with a 10-9 win.
In the Circa Sportsbook survivor pool, 110 of the remaining 642 contestants picked the Jets. The top choice was the 49ers at 277, with San Francisco easily handling the Patriots, 30-13.
Biggest moneyline favorites for NFL Week 5 games
Four teams have byes this week, leaving us with 14 games to sort through. If you’re looking for a sizable moneyline favorite, the pickings are slim.
There are just three teams with odds of -200 or greater: the 49ers, Seahawks, and Chiefs. San Francisco is the largest favorite for its home game versus the Cardinals.
The Seahawks will also be at home to take on the Giants, and the Chiefs will host the Saints on Monday Night Football. San Francisco, Seattle, and Kansas City will likely be popular options among those who haven’t used those teams yet.
However, the popular picks have proven to be anything but a sure thing through the first month of play. As we browse the rest of this week’s games, there are a number of other risky propositions.
The rest of this week’s slate
Behind the three favorites, just four other squads have an implied win probability of 60% or greater: the Bears, Commanders, Packers, and Broncos.
From that group of teams, Washington has won three straight, while the Broncos have won two in a row. Chicago and Green Bay are 2-2.
For the remainder of the week’s games, the odds range from pick’em to -148. The biggest favorite from this group is the winless Jaguars, followed by the 2-2 Ravens.
At the bottom of the list are two games that appear to be close to toss-ups: Bills at Texans and Dolphins at Patriots.
