LB Kwon Alexander left with a leg injury and did not return. He’s out for the rest of the season with a torn Achilles, dealing another blow to Pittsburgh’s linebacker corps.

The Cleveland Browns will be without QB Deshaun Watson for the rest of the season due to a shoulder injury he suffered in Sunday’s win over the Ravens. The team — which is 6-3 following the come-from-behind victory — has named rookie QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson as its new starter, with PJ Walker in the backup role. Thompson-Robinson threw for 121 yards and three interceptions in his lone start to date.

The Jacksonville Jaguars got routed by the 49ers at home on Sunday, losing 34-3 to fall to 6-3 on the season. Trevor Lawrence threw for 185 yards and was picked off twice. The Houston Texans pulled off an upset on the road for their second straight win on Sunday, beating the Bengals 30-27 on a last-second field goal to improve to 5-4. The Jets waived RB Michael Carter on Tuesday, potentially creating an opening for rookie RB Israel Abanikanda.

The Buffalo Bills fired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey this week after a frustrating 24-22 loss to the Broncos on Monday night in an error-filled game. The Bills dropped to 5-5 on the season after giving Denver a second chance at the game-winning field goal due to a penalty for too many men on the field. Josh Allen threw for 177 yards and one touchdown but was picked off twice to go along with two fumbles lost by Buffalo. WR Trent Sherfield left Monday night’s game with an ankle injury and is questionable this week.

QB Matthew Stafford continues to deal with a thumb injury but is expected to play through it for now. Brett Rypien got the start last time out, throwing for 130 yards and a pick. The team has waived Rypien and signed veteran Carson Wentz to fill the backup role.
