Josh Allen Takes Over As MVP Favorite With Bills Win On MNF

Josh Allen had himself a game under the bright Monday Night Football lights.

The Bills dominated the visiting Jaguars for a 37-point victory. Allen was a huge part of the club’s success, throwing for four touchdowns as the offense clicked on all cylinders.

In the wake of that impressive showing, Allen has overtaken Patrick Mahomes as the betting favorite to win the NFL MVP award.

Allen puts on a show on Monday night

The Bills were 4.5-point favorites for Monday night’s visit from the Jaguars. The spread would prove to be way off the mark, as Buffalo cruised to a dominant 47-10 win

Allen led the team down the field for two lengthy scoring drives in the first quarter for a 13-0 lead. Buffalo continued piling on the points, heading into halftime up 34-3.

After the break, visiting Jacksonville didn’t put up much more of a fight as the Bills rolled to a dominant home win to bring their record to 3-0. Allen completed 23 of 30 passes for 263 yards and four TDs and also gained 44 yards on the ground on six carries.

Following the impressive showing, NFL MVP odds shifted. Allen’s odds jumped from +500 to +250, moving him into sole possession of first place on the board.

Mahomes slips to second as Chiefs eye three-peat

Mahomes is now in second place, with his odds dipping slightly from +250 to +300. The Chiefs are also 3-0 and the top team in 2025 Super Bowl odds, ahead of the 49ers (+750) and Bills (+800).

As we head to NFL Week 4, Mahomes has thrown for 659 yards, five TDs, and four interceptions. Allen has 634 passing yards and seven passing touchdowns, and he’s also found the end zone twice on the ground.

The Chiefs are set to visit the Bills in Week 11. Kansas City has had Buffalo’s number in the postseason, knocking the Bills out in three of the last four seasons.
