Favorites to score a touchdown in Week 6
Pitt RB Desmond Reid
Reid was out for Pitt’s 73-17 victory over Youngstown State last week, but he’s expected back in the lineup when the Panthers take on North Carolina. Pitt is a -2.5 road favorite against the Tar Heels, with the over/under set at an eye-popping 64.5 points.
Through three games, Reid has racked up 486 combined yards and four TDs. He’s a focal point of a Pitt offense that could potentially be involved in a shootout on Saturday.
Missouri WR Luther Borden
This week’s lone matchup of ranked teams will see Missouri travel to take on Texas A&M. The No. 9 Tigers are +2.5 underdogs against the Aggies, ranked 25th in the latest AP poll.
Borden is one of the top targets in the passing attack for 4-0 Missouri, a team that’s averaging 36.5 points per game. He has 19 receptions for 257 yards and four touchdowns to date.
Alabama QB Jalen Milroe
After Alabama escaped with a 41-34 win over Georgia last week, Milroe took over as the betting favorite in Heisman Trophy odds. The Crimson Tide are expected to have an easier time this week as -22.5 road favorites versus Vanderbilt.
Milroe has been an absolute force for 4-0 ’Bama. In addition to 10 passing TDs, he has also rushed for eight more — two in each of the club’s four games to date.
Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty
Jeanty is another player who surged in Heisman odds following an outstanding performance. Boise State picked up a 45-24 win over Washington State last week, with Jeanty contributing 266 yards and four touchdowns.
He’s the nation’s leading rusher with 845 yards and 82 carries, and has 13 TDs to date. That includes multiple TDs in three of four games, one of which was a six-touchdown outing in the Broncos’ season opener.
Tennessee RB Dylan Sampson
The Volunteers are fourth in the latest AP poll after a 4-0 start. The team’s prolific offense has been a massive part of its early season success, as Tennessee leads the nation with an average of 54 points per game.
Sampson has been a key cog in the Tennessee attack, racking up 76 total touches for 519 combined yards and 10 TDs. He has three multi-TD games thus far and has at least one touchdown in each of the team’s four games so far.
