Teams favored to land Justin Fields

The Steelers are the favorites to land Fields if the Bears decide to move on. The club made it to the NFL playoffs with a record of 10-7, but it exited in the first round at the hands of the Bills. Second-year starter Kenny Pickett went down to injury in Week 12. Mitchell Trubisky was next up on the depth chart, but the team turned the page to Mason Rudolph the rest of the way.

The Bears could continue to move forward with Fields and are currently second on the board. Fields, a first-round pick in 2021, has shown flashes during his time in the Windy City, including back-to-back games with four passing TDs early last season. He missed some time due to injury, with the team finishing with a record of 7-10 and in last place in the NFC North.

Next up are two teams with question marks at QB: the Falcons and Patriots. Atlanta came up short in its quest for a postseason spot, and neither Desmond Ridder nor Taylor Heinicke have managed to indicate that they are the long-term answer. The Bill Belichick era is over in New England, and the Patriots could also turn the page on Mac Jones to boot.

Three other teams have odds of +3000 or less: the Broncos, Commanders, and Raiders. Denver could be moving on from Russell Wilson, just two years after swinging a massive trade for his services. Washington has a new head coach in Dan Quinn as the longtime search for a franchise quarterback continues.

Antonio Pierce took over as the head coach in Las Vegas after the in-season firing of Josh McDaniels. The club also switched things up under center, with Aidan O’Connell getting the nod over Jimmy Garoppolo. The betting odds to land Fields suggest that the team could be looking elsewhere for next season’s starting QB.
