In a rematch of last season’s NFC wild card bout, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will host the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4 action this Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET, with Fox on the broadcast.
The Bucs (2-1) are slight underdogs in NFL Week 4 odds following their first loss of the season, with most books laying -2.5 on the point spread in favor of the Eagles (2-1). Tampa is at +115 on the moneyline, and the over/under line for the game is 45.5 points.
With starting receivers A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) both questionable, the Eagles could once again revolve their offense around new acquisition Saquon Barkley. Philadelphia could also be without starting right tackle Lane Johnson (concussion).
Tampa started hot with wins over Washington and Detroit, then fizzled at home against Denver with several defensive starters inactive. Star defensive tackle Vita Vea (MCL) is expected to miss this contest, and Tampa’s injury report lists 14 other starters.

Player props for Eagles vs. Bucs
How Saquon Barkley could get over 77.5 rushing yards
The Philadelphia Eagles have already fed Barkley 73 touches through three games, and they could be missing several receivers ahead of this contest. Tampa’s typically strong run defense will be weaker without Vita Vea, and the Broncos just racked up 5.7 yards per carry in Tampa. Barkley’s averaging 117 rushing yards per game at 5.6 yards per carry, and his season-low is 95 yards with Philly.
This is a potential revenge spot for the Eagles after their 32-9 playoff loss to Tampa. If they’re able to grab an early lead, the Eagles could ride Barkley in the second half, yet we also saw them feed him until they broke out of an offensive slump in New Orleans last Sunday.
How Saquon Barkley could get under 77.5 rushing yards
Losing Lane Johnson (concussion) is a huge deal for the Eagles’ offensive line. Barkley broke for a 65-yard touchdown run against the Saints after Johnson left the game but was held in check throughout most of the first half.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles tends to draw up aggressive game plans that can stymie the opponent’s top options. With the Eagles likely to lean on a run-heavy script, the Bucs could stack the box to take Barkley away. Tampa finished tied for third in the NFL last season at 3.8 yards per carry allowed, then upgraded its linebacker corps with an infusion of youth. This defense is no walkover.
How Baker Mayfield could get over 246.5 passing yards
Mayfield was relatively inefficient in the playoffs against the Eagles last January but still finished with 337 passing yards at 9.4 yards per attempt. He accomplished that with Mike Evans (three receptions, 48 yards) and Chris Godwin (four receptions, 45 yards) held in relative check, and those receivers are off to great starts in 2024.
Philadelphia’s secondary has been a clear weak point since last season, and that unit is coughing up 204.7 passing yards per game this season, which is above average for the NFL in 2024. Darius Slay suffered a knee injury in Week 3 and has not been a shutdown corner in recent seasons. The strength of the Eagles’ defense lies on the interior defensive line, so expect a lot of quick screens and passes to avoid Jalen Carter and company.
How Baker Mayfield could get under 246.5 passing yards
After starting the season by lighting up Washington’s secondary, Mayfield has been held in check in consecutive starts, averaging just 174 passing yards at 6.7 yards per attempt against the Lions and Broncos. The Bucs offensive line couldn’t hold up in either of those matchups, and starting tackle Luke Goedeke (concussion) is still in protocol.
Passing stats are down across the NFL this season, and Washington is one of only five defenses coughing up 247 passing yards or more per game. Again, this is a revenge spot for the Eagles’ defense, and Philadelphia has a new coordinator in Vic Fangio, who could have some wrinkles in place to attack Mayfield.
