The first major trade request in the NFL landed this week when Raiders receiver Davante Adams publicly asked to be moved on Tuesday, listing the Jets and Saints among his preferred destinations.
Since Adams missed Week 4 with a hamstring injury he suffered in practice and is likely to sit out in Week 5 at Denver, the front office might not be in a hurry to deal him. The trade deadline is Nov. 5 at 4 p.m. ET, and there are plenty of interested suitors.
Here is a look at the market for Davante Adams’ next team. If the Raiders don’t move him by the deadline, the bet will settle with tickets on Las Vegas (currently +500) winning.

Teams favored to trade for Davante Adams
Multiple sources have reported that Adams listed the New York Jets as his preferred destination, but the six-time Pro Bowler said he’s open to other destinations. Neither Adams nor Raiders coach Antonio Pierce denied the possibility of a trade, and Pierce was flagged for “liking” a social media post suggesting the team would trade Adams.
The 31-year-old receiver has a base salary of $16.8 million guaranteed this year. Then there is no guaranteed money on the last two years of his contract, but his salary jumps to around $36 million in 2025 and 2026.
The Raiders told sources at ESPN that they would “consider” trading Adams for a package that includes a second-round pick and additional compensation.
New York Jets (-150)
Adams reached stardom in Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers throwing him the ball, and it appears he’d like to play with the four-time MVP again. The New York Jets have a clear need for receiving threats outside of Garrett Wilson, and the front office has already made contact with the Raiders, per The Athletic.
Rumors swirled this summer about an Adams trade to the Jets, but his agents shot them down. The Jets are a favorite now because they have assets, including their 2025 second-round pick and two third-round picks, plus a disgruntled edge rusher in Haason Reddick, who has requested a trade.
New Orleans Saints (+300)
Prior to last season, Adams had only caught passes at the college and pro level from Rodgers and current Saints quarterback Derek Carr, who played with him at Fresno State. It’s no surprise that the New Orleans Saints are among his wish list destinations, and the Raiders might find it more appealing to move Adams to the NFC.
Adams caught 100 balls for 1,516 yards and 14 touchdowns when Carr played for the Raiders in 2022. The Saints currently only have around $2 million in cap space, so the front office would have to get creative to get Adams on the books.
Pittsburgh Steelers (+500)
The Pittsburgh Steelers have been interested in acquiring another top receiver since the summer, when they were the primary team linked to trading for 49ers holdout Brandon Aiyuk. Yet while Pittsburgh might be interested, Adams hasn’t publicly listed the Steelers as a preferred destination, adding a potential layer of contract negotiations beyond this season with his annual salary set to skyrocket.
Ultimately, it’s not up to Adams where he’s dealt, though, and the Steelers could potentially offer a more appealing package that convinces the Vegas front office to sell. It’s worth noting that the Raiders host the Steelers on Oct. 13 in a Week 6 matchup.
Las Vegas Raiders (+500)
Many NFL trade deadlines have come and gone without any star players moving. The Raiders might decide to keep Adams on their roster and cut him this offseason for salary cap purposes. Oddsmakers are deeming that scenario to be somewhat unlikely, but it might take a great offer for the Raiders to deal the veteran.
Dallas Cowboys (+1000)
The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly reached out to the Raiders about acquiring Adams. Jerry Jones and the Dallas front office have “checked in” about Adams, per The Athletic, but rumors have also linked the Cowboys to Amari Cooper. Dallas declined to go after Derrick Henry this offseason and pay him $8 million this season, so springing for Adams’ contract seems unlikely. That came before Dallas extended CeeDee Lamb for $136 million and Dak Prescott for $240 million in two respective four-year extensions.
