The Atlanta Falcons will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Thursday night in a battle of two NFC South teams. Although the Buccaneers currently lead the division, NFL Week 5 odds have the Falcons as narrow favorites. However, the Falcons have won just two of their last eight meetings with the Bucs.
The over/under line suggests a potential for two teams to score points in bunches, but there’ll also be plenty of player props to choose from as there is a host of offensive talent on show. We also cover a sportsbook promo for the game.

Player props for Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Atlanta Falcons
How Mike Evans could get over 62.5 receiving yards
Evans has been the Buccaneers’ leading receiver for the last 10 years and has registered 10 straight 1,000-yard seasons, but he has been outshone by Chris Godwin so far this season. However, Evans had a season-high eight catches for 94 yards and a touchdown via 14 targets in the win against the Eagles and will look to continue building on that game against the Atlanta Falcons.
The Falcons have one of the better pass defenses in the NFL, having allowed just 191 passing yards per game so far, but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are averaging 223 passing yards, with Baker Mayfield totaling 334 yards on 30 completions. If the Bucs’ passing game is on, Evans will likely be heavily involved. He’s also averaged 15.2 yards per reception throughout his career and is one of the best deep-ball receivers in the NFL. He’s always a threat to catch a deep pass, and if he does, that’ll likely boost his receiving total in the right direction — and it’ll help if he gets close to double-digit targets again.
How Mike Evans could get under 62.5 receiving yards
Despite Evans’ consistency, he’s been outshone by Godwin all season as the slot receiver has leaned into the “Cooper Kupp role” in Liam Coen’s offense. Godwin leads the Bucs in targets, receptions, and yards through four weeks and will likely continue to be the focal point of the passing attack while the Bucs remain successful.
Evans has eclipsed 62 receiving yards just once this season, in Tampa Bay’s Week 4 victory over the Eagles. But that was a poor Eagles defense, while the Falcons will pose more of a challenge.
How Drake London could get over 5.5 receptions
London has been the focal point of the Falcons’ passing attack for the last three weeks, earning 28 targets and catching 18 passes for 185 yards and two touchdowns. The Atlanta offense has looked better the more involved London has been, and the Falcons have won two of their last three games when he’s caught six or more passes. He’ll have a tough matchup against Zyon McCollum and Jamel Dean as the Falcons’ primary receiver, but London looks to be growing into a true No. 1 receiver on a team stacked with offensive talent.
If the Falcons are able to find their offensive rhythm with Kirk Cousins under center, London will continue to be targeted heavily, and that’ll likely mean he clears the reception mark comfortably.
How Drake London could get under 5.5 receptions
The problem for the Falcons could be coming up against a potentially strong pass defense. The Buccaneers have allowed 203.8 passing yards per game, but they’ve got two excellent corners in Zyon McCollum — who has the No. 1 PFF grade among all cornerbacks in 2024 — and Jamel Dean, who will be tasked with slowing down London on Thursday.
The Falcons’ passing game has often lacked consistency this season, too, and though London has caught six passes in three straight games, he caught just two in the season opener against a tough Steelers defense. He’s the main passing option, but the Bucs have the talent to shut him out.
