Player props for Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins
How Tyreek Hill could get over 98.5 receiving yards
The Dolphins’ passing game has been as good as any in the NFL since Tyreek Hill set foot in Miami. The five-time All-Pro receiver has caught 245 passes for 3,639 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns in 34 games for the Dolphins, averaging 107.0 receiving yards per game.
Hill’s game-breaking speed and change of direction means that he can take any pass to the house at any time. He’s not a receiver who needs volume to hit the receiving total. He can do it in two catches on any given day, and his connection with Tua Tagovailoa and the offense generally puts him in a position to succeed.
How Tyreek Hill could get under 98.5 receiving yards
Hill has historically struggled against the Buffalo Bills since becoming a member of the Dolphins, averaging 5.25 receptions and 60.5 receiving yards in four regular season games.
Those are fine numbers for most receivers, but Hill’s bar is set so high because of his All-Pro ability. Bills’ head coach Sean McDermott has routinely assembled a competent defense and one that allowed just 162 passing yards against the Cardinals in Week 1.
How Josh Allen could get over 1.5 passing touchdowns
Allen’s talent has never been in doubt, and he’s anchored one of the NFL’s best offenses for a few years now. On top of that, he has proven to be a volume passer. He’s been in the top 10 in total passing attempts over the last three seasons and, despite the Bills leaning toward a more run-heavy offense, Allen will likely be in that category again.
He’s also dominated the Dolphins during his career, completing 66.3% of his pass attempts for 3,363 yards and 33 touchdowns while recording a 110.1 passer rating.
How Josh Allen could get under 1.5 passing touchdowns
Allen has been a big performer against the Dolphins in recent seasons, but the Bills quarterback noticeably had just five pass attempts in the first half against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1.
Much has been made of the Bills looking to put more emphasis on the rushing attack to take some pressure off Allen and the passing game, and even Allen’s own propensity for rushing touchdowns could take away passing opportunities in the red zone. Equally, Allen only has two passing touchdowns in two of his last six outings.
