Earlier on Tuesday morning, Catalist Sports and Kalshi had signed a multi-year agreement, which included live streaming and official data rights. However, later in the morning, the announcement was pulled from Catalist Sports’ site.

LSR initially received an email at 4:20 a.m. Eastern touting the partnership, which was also visible on Catalist Sports’ website. By 11 a.m., the link displaying the agreement was no longer operational.

Catalist Sports’ PR firm, Red Knot Communications, acknowledged the announcement was withdrawn and would reach back out with any further updates. It has not to this point.

LSR also reached out to Kalshi, asking for confirmation and an explanation. That, too, went unanswered.

Not the first time

This is not the first time Kalshi has had problems announcing a new deal.

The prediction market operator had a similar snafu during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Kalshi deleted a post claiming official World Cup partner status after FIFA identified ADI Predictstreet as its actual prediction market partner.

Back in 2025, Kalshi had rescinded on an agreement with Elon Musk’s artificial-intelligence company xAI hours after announcing the deal. According to Bloomberg, a Kalshi spokesperson said that “details of the announcement had not been mutually confirmed.”

What the deal would have covered

The partnership between Kalshi and Catalist Sports would have included tennis and soccer streaming. Customers could have watched up to 65,000+ tennis matches annually, including events such as World Tennis Tour, Australian Open, Davis Cup and soccer matches covering Ligue 1 and Série A.

In addition, the operator also would have had access to official low-latency data to create, manage and settle markets.

While tennis and soccer headlined the deal, Catalist Sports has a growing portfolio of basketball and hockey games.

The soccer content was part of a broader push to capitalize on rising U.S. interest in the sport following the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Polymarket inked a similar deal with Genius Sports last month to include live streaming on its platform.
