Corey Sharp joined Legal Sports Report as a lead writer in August 2026. He covers legal sports betting, iGaming and prediction markets, with a focus on state and federal regulation, legislative activity and the rapidly evolving prediction markets landscape.

Corey joined Catena Media in April 2022, where he wrote for PlayPennsylvania, PlayMichigan and PlayNJ, covering the regulated online gambling markets in three of the country’s largest iGaming states.

Before moving into gambling industry coverage, Corey was a writer and editor at NBC Sports Philadelphia. He previously worked at The Philadelphia Inquirer, where he edited and covered high school, college and professional sports.

Corey is a graduate of Holy Family University and a Philadelphia native. He still lives in the city.
