Washington Commanders (+4.5) at Philadelphia Eagles (-4.5)

The Commanders shocked the NFL world with a 45-31 road victory over the Lions on Saturday night that left a Detroit team that looked Super Bowl-bound in shock. Washington’s Jayden Daniels fell just a yard short of 300 passing yards but still became the first rookie in NFL history to top 300 total yards in two postseason contests. Washington was clicking on all cylinders — Brian Robinson, Austin Ekeler, Dyami Brown, Terry McLaurin and Zach Ertz were all key contributors — but they’ll now have to find a way to do it again in an even more difficult road environment considering the likely blizzard-like conditions in Philadelphia.

The Eagles emerged victorious in such conditions Sunday afternoon against the Rams, squeaking past a game Los Angeles squad by a 28-22 score. The snow increasingly became a factor as the game wore on and helped pave the way for Saquon Barkley’s dagger-in-the-heart 78-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter that proved the difference in the game. Barkley combined for 296 rushing yards and four rushing TDs against the Commanders this season, so he’ll undoubtedly be a focal point again.

The Commanders are 4-2-1 ATS as road underdogs with an ATS +/- of +7.9 points since the start of the regular season. They were 1-1 against the Eagles in the regular season, taking an eight-point loss in Week 11 in Philly before forging a three-point victory in the nation’s capital in Week 16 in a game Hurts exited after only 12 snaps due to a concussion.

The Eagles are 5-5 ATS as a home favorite since the start of the regular season and 3-4 against the number in playoff games since Jalen Hurts become a full-time starter in 2021.

The NFC title game has opened with an over/under of 47.5 points.
