It’s the final week of the NHL regular season, and online sportsbooks have odds on the games that are pivotal to the NHL playoff hunt. The race is still tight in the Eastern Conference, where the Detroit Red Wings, Washington Capitals, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Philadelphia Flyers are all battling for a wild card spot.

Below, we’ll look at all the betting odds for the games this week that will determine the NHL playoff picture. You can also check out Stanley Cup odds and how to bet on hockey.

Key NHL games & odds this week

Tuesday, April 16

Detroit Red Wings at Montreal Canadiens

Detroit picked up an overtime win at home win on Monday, so this quick turnaround on the road will be a chance to clinch the wild card spot. If the Red Wings win tonight in Montreal, that would automatically eliminate the Flyers and Penguins from playoff contention.

Washington Capitals at Philadelphia Flyers

The season is on the line for Philadelphia in this game. This is the only game the Flyers have left in the regular season, and it’s against a fellow wild card hopeful. The Capitals control their own destiny at this point, and can clinch a playoff spot with a road win here. Philadelphia is 20-16-4 at home this season.

Chicago Blackhawks at Vegas Golden Knights

The Golden Knights have already clinched a playoff spot but could still potentially move ahead of Los Angeles for the third spot in the Pacific Division. That would put Vegas into a first-round matchup against the Oilers. Otherwise, the Golden Knights likely would have to face the Dallas Stars in a first-round rematch of last season’s Western Conference final.

Calgary Flames at Vancouver Canucks

A win here would clinch the Pacific Division title for the Canucks. Then it wouldn’t matter what the Oilers are able to do in a late push for the division’s top spot. Vancouver has been especially good at home this season, with a 26-9-5 record at Rogers Arena.

Wednesday, April 17

Pittsburgh Penguins at New York Islanders

The Penguins will be relying on a Philadelphia win over the Capitals on Tuesday in order to remain in the playoff hunt. If that happens, Pittsburgh still has a chance to make the playoffs with a win here. The Islanders have less incentive in this game, having already clinched third place in the division with no chance to move up or down before the regular season ends.

Edmonton Oilers at Arizona Coyotes

After blowing out San Jose on Monday, the Oilers still have a chance to snag first place in the Pacific Division. It requires a Canucks loss in regulation against Calgary on Tuesday, but if that happens the Oilers can still win the division and pick up the second overall seed in the Western Conference with a win in Arizona on Wednesday.
