NFL Week 4 receiving props recap
Week 4 produced several overs worth remembering, led by a monster afternoon in Houston.
- CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys: Lamb caught 17 passes for 189 yards and a touchdown in a 34-30 win over the Houston Texans, vaulting him to the top of the league’s yardage list.
- Nico Collins, Houston Texans: Collins answered with seven catches for 117 yards and two scores in the loss, a big day for anytime touchdown bettors.

The flip side came in Cincinnati, where Bengals star Ja’Marr Chase left a 22-17 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars early. His slow start, just 87 yards through two weeks, has already knocked him well down the season-long receiving yards board.

Lamb also leads the league with 37 receptions, ahead of Olave (35) and Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride (33). NFL Week 5 receiving props to watch
The Carolina Panthers and Kansas City Chiefs are on bye, which takes McMillan off the board this week. Here are the Week 5 games with the most interesting receiving angles. Check final injury designations before betting, since several key pass-catchers were limited or missed practice early in the week.
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Dallas Cowboys (Thursday, 8:15 p.m. ET, Prime Video): Lamb is coming off a 189-yard game and draws a Tampa Bay team that lost Baker Mayfield to a thumb injury. A Bucs offense led by a backup could mean more Dallas possessions and more volume for Lamb.
- Cincinnati Bengals at Miami Dolphins (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX): Chase is dealing with a concussion and Higgins with groin and neck injuries, and neither practiced Wednesday. If one sits, the other becomes a volume play; if both are out, look to secondary Bengals targets at long odds.

Receiving yards
Sportsbooks set an over/under on yards for every notable pass-catcher, scaled to his expected role. If Lamb’s line is 94.5 yards, he needs 95 or more for the over to cash. Many books also offer alternate lines at higher or lower numbers with adjusted odds.
Receptions

NFL receiving props FAQ
Once the regular season starts, futures on a player stay live even if he’s injured, so a bet on an injured receiver to lead the league will typically lose. Sportsbooks generally void and refund those wagers only when the player is ruled out for the year before Week 1 kicks off. House rules vary, so check yours.
The record belongs to Detroit Lions great Calvin Johnson, who piled up 1,964 yards on 122 catches in 2012. Cooper Kupp came closest since, with 1,947 yards for the Los Angeles Rams in 2021.
No wide receiver has ever been named AP MVP. Kupp’s 2021 season is the standout recent example of a receiver’s peak: he won the triple crown, Offensive Player of the Year and Super Bowl MVP.
