James Gazzale

Lead Writer

James Gazzale joined Legal Sports Report as a lead writer in February 2023. He covers state revenue and horse racing business news.

Prior to joining Legal Sports Report, James served as the chief spokesperson for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, where he successfully led multiple public advocacy and awareness campaigns.

James also hosts the Kentucky Derby Radar Show on Past The Wire TV and is the channel’s lead videographer. He owns several race horses, too.

James has worked in local newsrooms around the US, including KTAL-TV in Shreveport, LA and WRGB-TV in Albany, NY. He covered international politics in Moscow, Russia in 2012.

James is a graduate of the University of Dayton in Dayton, OH.
