March Madness rolls along with the Final Four on Saturday. The tournament is nearing its conclusion with the upcoming semifinal matchups: NC State vs. Purdue and Alabama vs. UConn. The winners will advance to play for the men’s college basketball national championship.

March Madness Final Four betting preview 

TBS will have the broadcasts for Saturday’s games at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. NC State vs. Purdue will tip off first at 6:09 p.m. ET, followed by Alabama vs. Connecticut at 8:49 p.m. ET. The winners will advance to play for the national championship on Monday. 

NC State vs. Purdue 

NC State was the No. 11 seed in the South Region at the start of March Madness. The Wolfpack then proceeded to win four straight, taking down rival Duke 76-64 in the Elite Eight after walking onto the court as a 7.5-point underdog. Senior forward DJ Burns Jr. led the team in scoring with 29 points.

Purdue entered as the top seed in the Midwest Region and has lived up to expectations as one of the tournament favorites. Following a trio of double-digit wins, the Boilermakers outlasted Tennessee in the regional final by a score of 72-66, covering the spread as a 3.5-point favorite. Senior center Zach Edey delivered a dominant effort, with 40 points and 16 rebounds. 

Alabama vs. Connecticut

Alabama advanced through the West Region as a No. 4 seed. The Crimson Tide had little trouble in the opening rounds and took down top-seeded North Carolina 89-87 in the Sweet 16. Alabama was a 2.5-point favorite over Clemson in the Elite Eight, covering the spread with an 89-82 victory. Senior guard Mark Spears led the way on offense with 23 points. 

Top-seeded Connecticut remains the favorite to win it all in the latest March Madness odds. The Huskies have stormed through the East Region with four consecutive double-digit wins. They defeated Illinois 77-52 in the region final, easily covering the spread as an 8.5-point favorite. Sophomore center Donovan Clingan dropped 22 points and hauled in 10 rebounds.
