2024 Players Championship favorites
Scottie Scheffler is the betting favorite to win The Players Championship. He currently ranks first in the Official World Golf Ranking and is fresh off a win at last week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational. Scheffler has booked a top 10 finish five times in six 2024 events.
Rory McIlroy holds down the second spot in the latest odds. He also ranks second in the OWGR and finished in a tie for 21st last week. McIlroy won the Hero Dubai Desert Classic earlier this year but has failed to break the top 20 in his last four appearances.
Behind the two leaders, Xander Schauffele and Justin Thomas are jockeying for position in the odds. Schauffele is ranked sixth in the OWGR and has four top 10 finishes for the year to date. Thomas is ranked 24th and tied for 12th place last week.

The purse size is the largest for the season to date, and also greater than the pool for any of last season’s four majors.
