2024 Sentry betting favorites
Scottie Scheffler is the current favorite to win The Sentry. He’s also the top-ranked player in the Official World Golf Ranking, most recently winning the Hero World Championship. Second on the list is Viktor Hovland, the winner of last season’s Tour Championship.
Behind the two leaders, five golfers are jockeying for third place at most top online sportsbooks: Collin Morikawa, Patrick Cantlay, Max Homa, Ludvig Aberg, and Xander Schauffele. Of that group, Cantlay is the highest-ranked player in the OWGR in fifth place.
Prize pool for the 2024 Sentry
The purse size for the 2024 Sentry is $20 million, with $3.6 million and 700 FedEx Cup points going to the winner. The prize pool for the event has jumped significantly — last season’s winner, Jon Rahm, received $2.7 million of the $15 million purse. Rahm is not in the field for this week’s event.
This is a no-cut event, which means that the 59 contestants will be in action for all four days and receive a share of the purse. Second place is good for $2.16 million, with the share descending from there, all the way down to $50,000 for 59th place.
