Resurgent Crimson Tide faces downtrodden Auburn

On Saturday, we have the Iron Bowl — the yearly matchup between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers. This year, Auburn is the host. In Week 12, the Crimson Tide defeated Chattanooga 66-10, while the Tigers lost at home to the New Mexico State Aggies, 31-10. Auburn and Alabama now face off in Week 13.

Tigers quarterback Payton Thorne had 148 passing yards and a touchdown against the Aggies. Crimson Tide QB Jalen Milroe, meanwhile, had 197 passing yards and three touchdowns against the Mocs before exiting the game early due to the score.

Tigers’ defense looking to slow down Milroe

The beginning of the year for the Crimson Tide included a home loss to the Texas Longhorns, but since then, they are 9-0 (10-1 overall) with assistance from Milroe. He’s shown ability in both the passing and rushing game, which the Tigers will need to contend with in Week 13’s Iron Bowl.

Crimson Tide’s path to victory likely includes remaining consistent

The Crimson Tide have been undefeated since their Week 2 loss, with just two games finishing with a scoring margin of single digits. The Tigers are 6-5 this season, and if the Crimson Tide can continue to play the way they have been since their Week 2 loss and limit turnovers, that’s their key to victory.
