The UFC is in Paris this weekend for a Saturday afternoon UFC Fight Night card on ESPN+, and former UFC interim champ Ciryl Gane is the main event favorite at odds, while Serghei Spivac is the underdog at .
In the co-main event, former UFC strawweight champion Rose Namajunas is at odds for her move up to flyweight to face Manon Fiorot at . Below, we’ll take a closer look at the full UFC fight card odds from top online sportsbooks for Saturday’s event at Accor Arena in Paris.
UFC on ESPN odds for the main event
Ciryl Gane () vs. Serghei Spivac ()
Gane (11-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC) last fought in March, when he lost a one-sided heavyweight title fight to former 205-pound champion Jon Jones. That loss marked the second time in a three-fight span that Gane was out-wrestled and beaten by his lack of a ground game. While he’s proven himself a dangerous striker, particularly when he’s able to work at his own pace from the outside, his deficiencies in the grappling department have been a problem of late. He’s likely spent the past few months trying to improve in that area, but it’s a short span of time to close such a big hole in his game.
Spivac (16-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC) has shown an ability to exploit such holes, as he did in his last bout, a submission win over knockout artist Derrick Lewis in February. Spivac may not be the best wrestler in the division, but he’s won several of his UFC bouts by getting opponents down and battering them with strikes from top position. He’ll almost certainly want to fight Gane on the mat, which could put him in an advantageous position if it happens.
If Gane can’t score a quick knockout, he’ll have to show that he’s improved both his takedown defense and his overall grappling game if he wants a win in his hometown.
UFC on ESPN co-main event odds
Manon Fiorot () vs. Rose Namajunas ()
Fiorot (10-1 MMA, 6-0 UFC) is a French fighter who’s been perfect in the UFC against largely lower-caliber fighters in the 125-pound division. She’s a dangerous striker when she’s able to get some forward momentum, but she also has recently begun facing more experienced competition. She’s passed all those tests so far but has yet to face any truly elite fighters from any division.
Namajunas (11-5 MMA, 9-4 UFC) is an elite fighter, or at least she was as a 115-pounder. She remains the only woman to defeat current strawweight champ Zhang Weili in the UFC, and she did it twice in a row. Now she’s moving up a division, and it remains unclear how she’ll adjust to facing bigger, taller opponents. She’ll give up a couple of inches in height to Fiorot, but she may also face a difference in punching power.
