The Kansas Jayhawks are the defending national champions, having defeated North Carolina in the 2022 NCAA finals, and are among the favorites to win again. If they can pull that off, they’d be the first team since Florida in 2007-2008 to repeat as champions in consecutive years.
The Purdue Boilermakers won the regular season Big Ten title and played their way into the Big Ten tournament final game, opposite Penn State. They own regular season wins over Duke and Gonzaga.
The UCLA Bruins are the top team in the west, according to oddsmakers. They won the Pac-12 regular season title, but lost to the Arizona Wildcats in the conference tournament final.
