The Southeastern Conference began its men’s basketball tournament on Wednesday at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, with the Alabama Crimson Tide ([metabet_core_dynamic_odds market=”bkc/ncaab_winner_sec_tournament” query=”bkc/alabama” site_id=”legalsportsreport”]) listed as the betting favorite to win the tournament.
There’s been a handful of upsets in the tournament so far. Mississippi State knocked off Florida, 69-68 in overtime, to kick off the second round. 10th-seeded Arkansas held on to victory against Auburn in a close affair, 76-73. Tennessee found a rhythm late in the first half and dominated the rest of the way to win against Ole Miss, 70-55. Vanderbilt had a 12-0 run early in the second half to take over the eventual victory over LSU, 77-68.

Alabama plays Mississippi State early Friday afternoon.
Texas A&M ([metabet_core_dynamic_odds market=”bkc/ncaab_winner_sec_tournament” query=”bkc/texas_a_m” site_id=”legalsportsreport”]): The Aggies won eight of their final nine games, including their first against a top-two team in Alabama, and they enter the tournament as the No. 2 seed. They take on Arkansas, who’s coming off of an upset against Auburn in the second round.
Kentucky ([metabet_core_dynamic_odds market=”bkc/ncaab_winner_sec_tournament” query=”bkc/kentucky” site_id=”legalsportsreport”]): The Wildcats come into this tournament as the No. 3 seed, having won five of their last six regular season games. Their first game will be on Friday in the quarterfinals against Vanderbilt.
Missouri ([metabet_core_dynamic_odds market=”bkc/ncaab_winner_sec_tournament” query=”bkc/missouri” site_id=”legalsportsreport”]): The Tigers won their last four regular season games and finished with an 11-7 record in the conference. They come in as the No. 4 seed and will play Tennessee in the quarterfinals on Friday.

They’ll match up against Missouri in the quarterfinals.

Mississippi State ([metabet_core_dynamic_odds market=”bkc/ncaab_winner_sec_tournament” query=”bkc/mississippi_state” site_id=”legalsportsreport”]): The Bulldogs finished with an 8-10 record in the conference, dropping their final regular season game on the road against Vanderbilt. They were able to take down Florida in the second round in overtime. Next is a matchup against top-seeded Alabama on Friday.
