Wynn Sports Betting App

As we reportedWynn Las Vegas has released its sports betting app called Wynn Sports.

The app arrives just in time to set up an account to wager on March Madness. The first weekend of March Madness is one of the top five events of the year in Las Vegas according to Seeking Alpha. This is the perfect time to release a new sports wagering app.

The difference maker with this app is that the Wynn Las Vegas Race & Sports Book is one of the few independently operated sports books on the Vegas Strip. The odds and point spreads are often seen as being among the fairest in Las Vegas. This alone should make Wynn Sports desirable for sports bettors.

Miomni provides the software for the Wynn Sports app. You’ll also find this software operating sports wagering apps for Treasure IslandBoyd Gaming (B-Connected Sports) and Westgate in Las Vegas.

Similar to the other Miomni based apps you can place:

  • Straight wagers
  • Parlay
  • Round robins
  • Teasers

Those wagering options will be expanded in the future when Wynn Sports adds in-game wagering and pari-mutuel (horse) wagering.

The app is only available for download on iOS and Android phones and tablets.

Opening and funding an account

Getting started on Wynn’s sports betting app takes a few simple steps:

  • You must be a Wynn Red Card players club member
  • You must open your account in person at the Wynn Las Vegas Race & Sports Book.
  • When opening your account, you are required to provide a valid government-issued photo ID and complete an IRS form W-9 if you’re a U.S. resident.

The initial deposit must be at least $100 deposit. You can use cash, chips, or cashier’s check to fund your account. You cannot fund your account via credit card. All future deposits must be made in increments of $50 at the Wynn Las Vegas Race & Sports Book.

There are no sign-up bonuses at this time. You can find the mobile sports wagering application here if you’d like to prepare in advance of a visit to Wynn Las Vegas.

Using Wynn Sports

Wynn Sports operates similarly to other Miomni apps as you have to turn off wifi on your phone before you can even open the app. This is a small inconvenience, but an inconvenience nonetheless.

On the convenient side, you don’t need an account with Wynn Las Vegas to view the odds and point spreads as long as you’re in the state of Nevada. You can’t place wagers with Wynn Sports or any other sports betting app outside of Nevada. Wynn Sports can’t even be opened unless you’re in the state of Nevada.

Another convenient feature with Wynn Sports is that you can close the app and reopen where you left off. This makes researching games easier than some other sports wagering apps, since you can flip back and forth between looking at research, checking lines and placing a wager.

Wynn Sports offers the same point spreads and odds that you’ll find at the physical Wynn Las Vegas Race & Sports Book. Wagering on the Wynn Sports app is only available when the physical sportsbook is open inside the casino. Hours of operation can change at the discretion of Wynn Las Vegas.

One of the major benefits of sports wagering apps is their convenience. Wynn Sports comes in very handy if you’re staying at the Encore Tower at Wynn. The 3- to 4-minute walks back and forth to the Wynn Las Vegas Race & Sports Book can impede anyone’s desire to place multiple wagers per day.

Wynn Sports will specifically come in handy during the first weekend of March Madness if you’re watching the games at Encore Players Club. There are 16 games being played on each of the first two days, and walking back and forth will probably be a non-starter for most people looking to wager all day and night without missing any game action.

Placing wagers

Minimum wagers on Wynn Sports are $5 and the maximum wager limit will be decided on by supervisors and may be a different amount for different customers. Additionally certain games may have different wager limits.

For example, “Key Games” might have a higher limit than other games. It seems as though limits will be lower on Wynn Sports than at the casino. If the maximum limit is a concern, you should ask a supervisor when setting up your account.

Withdrawals

All wagering account transactions must be conducted in person at the Wynn Las Vegas Race & Sports Book by the account holder. That includes:

  • Deposits
  • Withdrawals
  • Account information changes
  • Account closures

Account closure

Wynn Las Vegas will suspend a wagering account after 12 months without wagering activity. You must visit the Wynn Las Vegas Race & Sports Book with valid, government-issued photo identification to re-activate a suspended wagering account. This is standard practice with other casino accounts like a players club account.

Wynn Las Vegas may refuse an account to any person they desire. Further, they may refuse to accept any, or part of any, wager placed from Wynn Sports. Lastly, they reserve the right to “cancel, modify or suspend a Wagering Account in its sole discretion without prior notice or liability.”

You can view all terms and conditions of your Wynn Las Vegas mobile account here.
