Fanatics App Guide: Free Games, FanCash Rewards, Tickets and More
Fanatics is best known as the largest seller of licensed sports merchandise in the world, but its flagship app does a lot more than sell jerseys. The Fanatics app combines shopping, live scores, game tickets and a lineup of free-to-play prediction games in one place, all tied together by FanCash, the company’s rewards currency.
Downloading the app and playing its games costs nothing, and the games give fans a chance to earn FanCash or even cash prizes. Here’s how the Fanatics app works, what you can do with it and how it connects to the rest of the Fanatics family, including Fanatics Sportsbook.

What does the Fanatics app offer?
Think of the app as a one-stop hub for sports fans. It’s built around five core features:
- Shop: Browse Fanatics’ huge catalog of officially licensed apparel, gear and collectibles.
- Games: Play free daily and weekly pick’em contests for a chance at FanCash and other prizes.
- Scores: Follow live scores, stats, schedules and standings across the major leagues.
- Tickets: Buy tickets to pro games through a built-in marketplace with reduced fees.
- For You: See a personalized feed of products, offers, games and challenges based on your activity.
The Fanatics app does not offer real-money sports betting. Instead, it links out to the separate Fanatics Sportsbook app for bettors 21 and older in states where it operates.
How the Fanatics app works
The app is free to download on iPhone and Android. Once it’s installed, you’ll create or log in to a Fanatics account, which automatically enrolls you in Fanatics ONE, the company’s loyalty program. That single account carries across the Fanatics shop, Fanatics Sportsbook, Fanatics Casino and other Fanatics products, so the FanCash you earn in one place can be spent in another.
From there, a menu at the bottom of the screen lets you move between the shop, games, scores, tickets and your personalized feed.
Shopping in the Fanatics app
Merchandise is still the heart of Fanatics. The shop carries gear for the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, WNBA, MLS, college sports, international soccer, UFC, WWE, F1, NASCAR, golf and more. Beyond jerseys, caps and tees, you’ll find everything from outerwear and sleepwear to home decor, tailgating gear, trading cards, autographed items and game-used memorabilia.
Shopping through the app has a few advantages over the website, including app-exclusive offers, early access to some product drops and FanCash back on eligible purchases.
FanCash and Fanatics ONE
FanCash is the reward currency that powers the Fanatics ecosystem. It’s earned and managed through Fanatics ONE, the company’s loyalty program, which has several tiers that unlock bigger perks as you spend and play more.
Here’s how FanCash generally works:
- Shopping: Eligible purchases in the Fanatics app earn FanCash back, with app purchases earning up to 5%.
- Betting: Fanatics Sportsbook customers can earn FanCash on their wagers, win or lose.
- Games and promotions: Many free-to-play games, challenges and limited-time offers pay out in FanCash.
- Redeeming: FanCash can be applied at checkout toward merchandise and tickets, and it can be converted into bonus bets at Fanatics Sportsbook or credits at Fanatics Casino where available.
All Fanatics ONE members also get perks such as free shipping and returns and access to exclusive product drops. Earning rates and benefits can change, so check the Fanatics ONE terms in the app for current details.
Free-to-play games in the Fanatics app
The Games tab is the most fun part of the app. Contests are free to enter and are mostly built around predicting what will happen in upcoming games. Most pay out in FanCash, though some bigger contests offer real cash prizes.
The lineup rotates with the sports calendar, so not every game is available year-round. Games that have appeared in the app include:
Fanatics 5
Make five quick predictions tied to upcoming games, such as which player will lead his team in points or whether a team will cover a certain margin. Fanatics 5 Daily rewards a perfect set of picks with FanCash, while the Fanatics 5 Jackpot version has offered much larger cash prizes. During the 2024 MLB Home Run Derby, Fanatics raised the top prize to $1 million, and a player in Tennessee won $900,000.
NFL Survivor
Fanatics’ season-long survivor contest asks you to choose a single NFL team to win outright each week, without using the same team twice. A wrong pick knocks you out, and everyone still standing after the final week of the regular season splits the prize pool, which has been guaranteed at $1 million or more. You need to sign up before the season starts.
Perfect 9
Perfect 9 runs during football season and puts nine picks on a tic-tac-toe-style grid. Go nine for nine and you can win a share of a large cash prize.
Pick’em contests
College Football Pick’Em, where you choose 10 games against the spread, and NFL Touchdown Pick’Em, where you pick players to find the end zone that week, have been weekly staples during football season. Perfect cards earn FanCash, and some contests reward near misses too.
Quad Goals
Quad Goals is a sports trivia puzzle in the style of popular word-grouping games. You’re shown 16 athletes or teams and need to sort them into four groups of four that share a hidden connection, such as a former team, an award or a shared name.
Prize amounts, schedules and entry rules vary from game to game and season to season, so check each contest’s official rules in the app before you play.
Live scores and stats
The Scores tab covers live action from the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, college football, college basketball and more. Each game page includes stats, play-by-play visuals and the current Fanatics Sportsbook odds, which makes it a handy research tool before you lock in picks for the app’s games.
Game tickets in the Fanatics app
Fanatics added ticket sales to its app in 2025 through a partnership with Ticketmaster. You can buy tickets to NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and MLS games without leaving the app, and Fanatics advertises reduced service fees compared with buying elsewhere. FanCash can also be applied toward ticket purchases.
The ‘For You’ feed and challenges
The For You tab is a personalized home screen built around your favorite teams and activity. It surfaces new products, app-exclusive deals and featured games, along with Challenges, which are opt-in tasks that award extra FanCash for things like making a qualifying purchase or playing certain games.
Creating a Fanatics app account
Already bet or play with Fanatics Sportsbook or Fanatics Casino? Your existing login works in the Fanatics app, too. New users can get started in a few steps:

Fanatics app for iPhone and Android
On both platforms, look for the app listed as “Fanatics: Shop NFL, NBA & MLB,” since Fanatics publishes several separate apps. The Fanatics app is highly rated on both the App Store and Google Play, where users frequently praise its fast load times and easy navigation. The occasional complaint in user reviews tends to involve glitches after updates.
Fanatics app promotions
The app offers several ongoing perks, including FanCash back on eligible purchases, free shipping and returns for Fanatics ONE members and reduced ticket fees. The For You feed also regularly features limited-time offers, such as bonus FanCash for reaching a spending threshold or early access to new merchandise.
Fanatics Sportsbook and Fanatics Casino customers get even more ways to earn, since FanCash is awarded on wagers there and can be spent back in the shop.

Betting isn’t available inside the Fanatics app itself. If you’re 21 or older and located in one of the more than 20 states where it operates, your Fanatics account also works with the separate Fanatics Sportsbook app.
The mobile Fanatics Sportsbook ranks among the best sports betting sites available today. It’s known for a clean, beginner-friendly layout, frequent odds and profit boosts and FanCash rewards on every bet. The sportsbook covers all the major US leagues and college sports, along with golf, UFC, boxing, motorsports, soccer and more, and it offers live betting and same-game parlays.
Fanatics Sportsbook also stands out for its Fair Play policy. If a player leaves a game early because of an injury, eligible player prop bets on that player are refunded automatically.

How did Fanatics get started?
Fanatics traces its roots to a single Florida sports apparel store that opened in 1995. Michael Rubin acquired Fanatics in 2011 and built it into an e-commerce giant. A 2022 funding round brought in $700 million and valued the business at $31 billion.
Fanatics moved into sports betting in 2023 with a retail location, and its mobile sportsbook followed before the year was out. A standalone casino app arrived in 2025, covering Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, and it added Fanatics Markets, a prediction market platform, in December 2025.
