Another online sportsbook has hit the New Jersey market: Resorts Sportsbook app.
The online platform launched Jan. 31 and is affiliated with land-based Resorts Atlantic City Casino. The mobile sportsbook joins DraftKings Sportsbook and BetStars as online sports betting apps servicing Resorts AC.
Powered by SBTech, the app is available for download on both iOS and Android mobile devices.
Resorts Sportsbook offers its new users a match bet on your first bet up to $250.
To claim the deposit bonus, you must activate the bonus code from inside the “My Account” page. When you click on “My Bonuses,” you’ll see the bonus under the tab “Available Bonuses.”
By clicking on the green deposit button next to the “DEPOSIT1” bonus, you need to follow the on-screen instructions to complete your deposit and claim your bonus.
Resorts Sportsbook can be accessed online through a browser or you can download the app directly to your mobile device.
Apple customers can download the app from the iTunes Store, while Android users must download it directly from Resorts’ website.
Resorts Sportsbook is a quality new addition to the NJ online sports betting market. The best part about the sportsbook is the number of options it provides.
Firstly, you’re able to wager on just about any sport you can think of and do so in a variety of bets.
Another plus is the app is organized and straightforward. Different tabs allow you to navigate through all the options with ease.
In addition, it also provides quality information on the home screen, like which promotions you have available and which live sporting events you can bet on at that moment.
Resorts Sportsbook has room for improvement in a few ways.
The most obvious might be to have the sportsbook as a separate app from Resorts casino app. After logging in, you have to click the “More” tab in the top corner of the app to then click on “Sportsbook” and finally click on “Bet On Sports” before gaining access to the sportsbook.
The app also doesn’t have any form of express login. You have to enter your email and password each time to gain access. Both of these processes take more time than they should.
Another part that could be better is how the sportsbook shows odds of games in relation to the names of the teams playing. The spread and the odds for the majority of daily matchups (not futures) have the two teams playing listed above the actual clickable odds. With this format, you must look at which odds are on top or bottom to determine which team they align with above.
As mentioned, there’s a large number of sports offered on the app. The offerings include:
Some of the most popular leagues within the sports listed are the NFL and college football, NBA and college basketball, NHL, Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer, English Premier League, Champions League and Ultimate Fighting Championship.
There are also a variety of different bet selections to choose from. These include:
The sportsbook is offering an additional promotion where it’s giving you a bonus of up to 60 percent on parlays.
To be eligible, you must place a parlay with at least five legs. If your bet wins, Resorts will add cash on top, anywhere from 20 percent to 60 percent of your initial payout, depending on how many selections are in the parlay.
To get the full 60 percent, you must have a 13-leg parlay. The sportsbook caps the promotion at $25,000.
Resorts Sportsbook has a loyalty program tied to its casino app. You can earn Resorts Rewards points by placing sports bets as you would playing casino table games.
For every $2 you wager on sports, you will earn one Rewards point. There are five different levels of rewards based on how many points you’ve accumulated.
Once you’ve earned enough points, you can use them for complimentary hotel stays, entertainment discounts, room upgrades, your dedicated VIP host and even free cash.
Beyond the regular points program, Resorts offers what’s called its Echelon Rewards. This is for its most loyal customers who hit a required number of points every month. The rewards and benefits are more exclusive and more significant within Echelon.
There are several ways to deposit funds into your account on the sportsbook. These methods include:
You can withdraw your winnings through the same ways you deposited them. Two additional routes are to request a check to be mailed to you or to physically pick up your cash from the main cage at the Resorts Casino in Atlantic City.
The sports-betting solution operator, SBTech, powers the sportsbook. Resorts announced the partnership in July to provide sports gambling in New Jersey for online- and land-based channels.
Resorts’ customer support is available 24/7 for any problems you might be having. They can be reached via email at [email protected] or by phone at 1-844-990-4263.
They can also be reached by live chat by accessing the “Help” chat icon in the lower right-hand corner of the webpage.
You can enable strong authentication to make your account even more secure. When activated, Resorts will send a four-digit code to your cellphone that you must enter in addition to providing your email and password, to log in.
Another feature on Resorts Sportsbook is its “Responsible Gaming” tool.
You can use this to help limit and control your spending and time spent on the app. You’re able to set deposit limits, spend limits as well as session time limits.
Yes, you must be at least 21 years old to wager in New Jersey.
No, but you must be physically located in New Jersey at the time of placing a bet.
You can access Resorts Sportsbook in many different ways.
Either you can log on through a web browser on either your Mac or PC, or you can download the app to any iOS or Android mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets, iPhone or iPad.
All of your account information — including current balance and transaction history — can be found by clicking “My Account” and then “Account Statement.”
Yes; live, in-play betting is available for most sports.
Resorts Sportsbook covers all the basics you need to get started with NJ sports betting. We'd love to see a separate app broken out from the main one, but you'll be able to do most of what you want to do with what's here.
