Belgium enters the 2026 World Cup as a team that could offer value beyond the top tier of favorites. Belgium begins in Group G with Egypt, Iran, and New Zealand, giving them a realistic opportunity to build momentum early in the tournament. After reaching the semifinals in 2018, the question now is whether this group can push one step closer to the Final.

Belgium’s Path To 2026 World Cup Final

Rudi Garcia’s side shouldn’t have any difficulty whatsoever in finishing top of Group G. Of course, nothing in soccer is set in stone, but it would be a huge shock if Belgium fails to finish in top spot. The key game is their opening fixture against Egypt, the winner of this one will likely top the group come the end of the Group Stage. For us, Belgium should win all three of their Group games.

If they do, Belgium will likely face Ecuador in the Round of 32. The South American side has the ability, but it’s a game where we expect Belgium to progress. The Round of 16 could then see Belgium take on co-hosts the United States.

If Belgium gets through that fixture, a quarterfinal against Spain is their next likely game. It will be incredibly tough against one of the tournament favorites. But if they win, a semifinal against France is on the cards. Another tough matchup, if Belgium do get through and reach the Final, they’ll likely play Argentina for the title.
