Los Angeles Rams Odds

Written by

The defending champion Los Angeles Rams enter this season with a huge target on their backs. The futures market suggests that there’s a realistic chance at a repeat as the team is in the top five for the latest Super Bowl odds. The club has hit training camp and is getting ready for a preseason date with the Los Angeles Chargers.

From top to bottom, there’s no question that the Rams have one of the most talented rosters in the NFL. However, there hasn’t been a repeat winner of the big game since the 2003-04 New England Patriots. Los Angeles opens at home with a visit from the Buffalo Bills on Sept. 8. Here’s a closer look at the latest Rams betting odds and angles.

Los Angeles Rams odds: Spread, moneyline and over/under

NFL Preseason Week 1 Odds: Rams open preseason vs. crosstown rival Chargers

The Rams will be the road team for the preseason opener, but they won’t have to travel. They’ll be in the familiar surroundings of SoFi Stadium when they face the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday, Aug. 13.

We shouldn’t expect to see much out of the starters on either side for the opener, and early betting lines reflect that. The Rams are slight underdogs as they kick off exhibition season.

  • Moneyline: The Rams opened as +115 underdogs on the moneyline, but the numbers have moved to +140 with the Chargers at -165.
  • Spread: The spread opened at less than a field goal the Chargers -2.5, but it has since increased to Rams +3.5 (-110).
  • Over/Under: This is one of the lower totals for Week 1 of the preseason with the over/under set at 30 points.

Week 1 odds: Rams open defense of crown at home with tough test vs. Bills

The Rams begin the defense of their Super Bowl title at home. The visitors, the Buffalo Bills, are the current favorites in Super Bowl futures odds, with the game serving as the kickoff for the NFL regular season.

It’s a meeting of two of the most talent-laden teams in the league.

  • Moneyline: These two clubs last crossed paths in 2020. Buffalo was the host for that one, winning a 35-32 thriller. The teams have met a total of 13 times, with the Bills holding an 8-5 edge. Current moneyline odds have the visitors as a -130 favorite with the Rams at +110.
  • Spread: NFL schedule makers have put together what looks like a dandy for the opener, and the current spread reflects that. After opening with Los Angeles as a single-point favorite for this Thursday night affair, the spread has since flipped to Buffalo as a 2-point road favorite.
  • Over/Under: Last season, the Bills ranked third in the league in points per game with an average of 28.4. The Rams were tied for seventh at 27.1 per contest. The current line suggests a potentially high-scoring affair. The over/under of 52 points is one of the highest for Week 1.

Rams odds to win the Super Bowl

Last Updated: August 12

Futures odds for Super Bowl 57 were released by DraftKings in January 2022. For the initial release, the Rams were listed +1100 and fifth on the overall list of 32 teams. Since that point, the numbers have dropped slightly to +1000 before ticking back up to +1200.

Los Angeles is still one of the top five choices on the board and behind only the Bills, Buccaneers, Chiefs, and Packers. The Rams are expected to have a solid shot at defending their Super Bowl championship with the odds in the futures market serving as further confirmation.

Odds to win the NFC West

BetMGM Sportsbook: +120

Last season, the NFC West produced three teams with 10 or more wins. The Rams are the favorites to win the division once again, but the San Francisco 49ers (+200) and Arizona Cardinals (+300) could make the race interesting.

Odds to win the NFC

Caesars Sportsbook: +450

The latest odds at Caesars point to a three-team race to win the NFC. The Buccaneers (+340) are the top choice, followed by the Packers (+450) and Rams. The 49ers (+750) are next, and then the Dallas Cowboys (+800).

Matthew Stafford NFL MVP odds

FanDuel Sportsbook: +1400

Stafford was excellent in his first season with the Rams, throwing for 4,886 yards and 41 TDs. For his second season in the offense, the numbers could pop even higher. Josh Allen (+700) is the current NFL MVP odds favorite at FanDuel.

Season-long player prop odds

DraftKings Sportsbook:

  • Most passing yards: Matthew Stafford +1000
  • Most rushing yards: Cam Akers +3000
  • Most receiving yards: Cooper Kupp +900

Stafford was third in the league in passing yards last year, while Kupp led the way for receivers. The duo could be even more productive in their second year together. Akers is currently tied for eighth in rushing yard odds at DraftKings.

LA Rams news and notes

Attrition comes with the territory after a Super Bowl win. The Rams lost Von Miller, Darious Williams, Austin Corbett, and Sebastian Joseph in free agency. New arrivals include Bobby Wagner and Allen Robinson. The club was also able to come to terms on an extension to keep defensive cornerstone Aaron Donald in town.

Los Angeles was on the sidelines until round three at the NFL draft. The club selected OG Logan Bruss with its first pick, and followed that up by adding CB Decobie Durant in round four and RB Kyren Williams in the fifth. As expected, there are some losses for the Rams to sort through, but this remains one of the most loaded rosters in the NFL.
