Ravens vs. Buccaneers Odds & Props: Player Props For Derrick Henry & More

The Baltimore Ravens will be at Raymond James Stadium on Monday night to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as two of the top teams in the NFL through the first six weeks of the season go head-to-head.

NFL Week 7 odds favor the 4-2 Ravens despite them being on the road. Baltimore has won four straight games after starting the season 0-2, and the over/under line is anticipating the potential for a high-scoring game. The Ravens’ offense, led by Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry, also looks like one of the best in the NFL. On the flip side, the Buccaneers are 4-2 after dropping 51 points on the Saints in Week 6.

There’ll also be plenty of player props to choose from in the game. We also cover a MD sportsbook promo ahead of the game.

How Derrick Henry could get over 83.5 rushing yards

The Baltimore Ravens signing Derrick Henry as a free agent has, so far, been one of the best moves of the offseason. Henry currently leads the NFL in rushing yards and touchdowns and has formed the best ground game in the league alongside Lamar Jackson. The Ravens lead the NFL in total yards and rushing yards per game and are punching every defense in the mouth right now.

Henry has been at the center of that mouth-punching and is averaging 117.3 rushing yards per game with the highest yards per carry of his career (5.9). Everything Henry is doing right now is just a reminder of his Hall of Fame talent. Per PFF, Henry has the second-most runs of 10 yards or more, the most yards after contact, and is fourth in missed tackles forced.

The Ravens have found success with the ball in his hands as a balance to the passing game, and he hasn’t had fewer than 90 rushing yards since Week 2. In the Ravens’ four wins this season, Henry is averaging 143.5 rushing yards per game.

How Henry could get under 83.5 rushing yards

The Tampa Bay defense has a tough task ahead of it on Monday Night Football. Stopping the most dominant run game in the NFL isn’t going to be easy, but the Buccaneers have built a reputation as one of the toughest teams to run on in the last few years under Todd Bowles. That hasn’t been the case as much in 2024, but the defense held the Falcons and Saints to an average of 77 rushing yards per game in its last two games. When the lights shine the brightest, they can still turn it on.

The Buccaneers have a strong interior with Vita Vea, Greg Gaines, and Logan Hall all proving to be a presence in the trenches. If the Buccaneers commit to slowing down Henry and stacking the box, they could put a dent in the Ravens’ game plan.

How Chris Godwin could get over 5.5 receptions

Chris Godwin has had a strong start to the 2024 season. The veteran receiver leads the league with 43 catches on 53 targets for 511 yards and five touchdowns. Godwin has adjusted nicely to featuring mostly in the slot in Liam Coen’s offense after spending the majority of the 2023 season lined up out wide. Godwin has proven to be Baker Mayfield’s favorite target so far this season and has 11 more targets than Mike Evans.

Godwin has caught more than five passes in five of six games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this season and had a season-high 11 catches for 125 yards and two touchdowns against the New Orleans Saints in Week 6. He also has the second-most catches (13) in the NFL on third down this season, per PFF.

How Chris Godwin could get under 5.5 receptions

The Ravens’ defense hasn’t been playing to the same standard as it did in 2023, but it’s still in the top half of the league for points and yards allowed this season, and it has a host of talented players who can make life tough for opposing offensive players — especially in the secondary.
Marlon Humphrey has been the primary slot defender for the Ravens this season and has performed excellently. Humphrey has six passes defended through six games and has faced a tough run of wide receivers. Per PFF, Humphrey held CeeDee Lamb without a catch in their matchup in Week 3 and was targeted just once. If Humphrey spends the majority of his snaps lined up against Godwin, he could look to play him physically and shut down the star receiver, opening up more targets for Evans on the outside but limiting Godwin.
