The Bills entered their Week 13 bye with a 6-6 record and then rattled off five straight wins to make the playoffs and win the AFC East. They will be at home for this game as the No. 2 seed, and temperatures are expected to be below zero with intense wind chill on Sunday afternoon. Interim offensive coordinator Joe Brady has emphasized the running game since he took over in Week 14, and Josh Allen is a dual-threat quarterback with strong rushing ability.

The Steelers won three straight to close out their season and sneak into the playoffs. Mason Rudolph completed nearly 75% of his passes in those three games, and he’ll get the start over Kenny Pickett, who is now over his ankle injury. The Steelers have ruled out edge rusher T.J. Watt (knee) but will hope to get safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (knee) back from a multi-week absence for this game.

Below, we will take a look at some player props for this matchup. If you are located in a state where pick’em contests are legal, feel free to check out our PrizePicks and Betr Picks reviews.

This game has an over/under line of points, with the forecast playing a major role in the low-scoring projection. The Bills have averaged 25.2 points per game and held opponents to 16.7 points per game in December home games since 2021.

James Cook became the featured back in Joe Brady’s offense and rushed for a career-high 179 yards in a Week 15 win over Dallas. Since then, he’s been held to 51.3 rushing yards per game without a rushing touchdown, and the Bills debuted Leonard Fournette in Week 16, before giving the veteran more work in Week 18.

Mason Rudolph averaged 238.7 passing yards per game and 10.1 yards per attempt over his three starts to end Pittsburgh’s regular season. He only passed for three touchdowns in that span and didn’t throw an interception. This game will be his postseason debut.

With former running backs coach Luke Faulkner serving as the Steelers’ interim offensive coordinator, the team is alternating touches between Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren. Harris has seen more work in recent weeks and is a candidate for goal-line touches given his bigger frame.
