Sunday Night Football Preview: Broncos Vs. Patriots Props, Odds, & Injury Report

Improved Broncos looking to upset frisky Texans

The Denver Broncos have revitalized their season over the last month. After starting with a record of 1-5, they have fired off five straight wins to get to 6-5 for the season and well and truly into the NFL wild card mix. This week, Denver is on the road against the Houston Texans (also 6-5), who are looking to rebound from a 24-21 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 12. A win for either team significantly boosts that squad’s chances of making the playoffs.

Broncos’ defense will look to slow down C.J. Stroud

Stroud has been on a tear this season. The Offensive Rookie of the Year favorite () has completed 63.7% of his pass attempts for 3,266 yards — second in the NFL — 19 touchdowns and five interceptions. During the Broncos’ five-game winning streak, they’ve forced 16 turnovers.

Texans’ path to victory likely includes the running game

With the Denver defense riding high through turnovers, the Texans’ offense may put more emphasis on the ground game. Houston is averaging just 98.7 rushing yards per game, but the Broncos are allowing the most rushing yards per game this season (155.2). Devin Singletary has rushed for 280 yards in his last three games and added two rushing touchdowns to boot.

Denver Broncos vs. Houston Texans injury report: Who’s out, who’s starting

The Texans could be without Dalton Schultz this week after the tight end missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday with a hamstring injury, though starting left tackle Laremy Tunsil could play after registering a full practice on Thursday as he nurses a knee injury. If Schultz misses out, Brevin Jordan will likely take on a bigger role in the passing game.

Jerry Jeudy logged a limited practice on Thursday for the Broncos after missing Wednesday with a groin injury. The good news for Denver is Baron Browning (wrist) has been a full participant all week despite showing up on the injury report.
