Baltimore Ravens Injury Report - Mark Andrews & Marlon Humphrey Trending In Good Direction For AFC Championship Game

The Baltimore Ravens moved closer to their first Super Bowl appearance since 2012 with a 34-10 win over the Houston Texans in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs on Saturday. They’ve been one of the dominant teams in the NFL all season, winning a league-high 13 regular season games and finishing as the No. 1 seed in the AFC. They were dominant again against the Texans, with Lamar Jackson completing 16 of 22 passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns, adding another two rushing touchdowns and 100 rushing yards on the ground.

Next up for the Ravens is the AFC championship round game against the reigning Super Bowl champs, the Kansas City Chiefs. The Ravens are at on the spread at home. You can watch the game on Sunday starting at 3 p.m. Eastern on CBS.

Potential key missing players

Marlon Humphrey

Humphrey missed the Ravens’ 34-10 win over the Houston Texans after suffering a calf injury late in the season. The secondary survived without him, allowing just 175 passing yards in the win. Still, the former Pro Bowl corner is a lynchpin of one of the best defenses in the NFL, and he is likely to line up against Rashee Rice or Travis Kelce if he plays.

The Ravens have shown that the secondary is talented enough to get the job done without Humphrey, but this is Patrick Mahomes and a Chiefs’ offense that has put up impressive performances against the Dolphins and Bills.

Mark Andrews

While it seemed that Mark Andrews would be off the injured reserve in time for Saturday’s divisional round game, it never materialized, and the tight end missed that contest. The fact that Andrews has been progressing through practice is a good sign, but his absence from Saturday’s game against Houston means that he’s still in jeopardy of missing this game — even if it was more of a precaution.

The Ravens’ passing game has ticked along nicely without Andrews — the ascension of Isaiah Likely has been a key part of that success, but having Andrews back would still have the potential to deliver a big impact.
