Fanatics is the first national sports betting brand to take on sports predictions.

Fanatics Markets is live in 10 states as of Wednesday and is coming to another 14 soon. That includes states without legal sports betting like California and Texas, as well as Florida, where sports betting is legal, but exclusive to the Seminole IndiansHard Rock Bet.

Fanatics Markets offers event contracts through a partnership with Crypto.com after acquiring introducing broker Paragon Global in July. The company beat out both DraftKings and FanDuel in releasing a predictions product first. Those launches are expected in the near future.

It puts Fanatics up against those already live, like Kalshi, and heavyweight Polymarket, which is allowing U.S. beta users to trade sports event contracts this week.

Fanatics launches in sports betting states

Fanatics appears to be taking a different approach than DraftKings and FanDuel in where it offers sports predictions.

While the two leading U.S. sportsbooks said they would not be launching in states with legal sports betting, Fanatics is already live in four:

  • Delaware
  • Maine
  • New Hampshire
  • Rhode Island

Three of those states have monopolies run through their lotteries with BetRivers in Delaware, DraftKings in New Hampshire and IGT in Rhode Island. Bettors in Maine can access Caesars and DraftKings through tribal partnerships.

Where else is Fanatics Markets live?

There are six other states where users can access Fanatics Markets today:

  • Alaska
  • Hawaii
  • Idaho
  • North Dakota
  • South Dakota
  • Utah

Who is next?

As for the next 14 states to be launched, there are a couple of significant markets that have struggled to legalize sports betting.

Those include Georgia, Mississippi, Oklahoma and South Carolina. Mississippi has retail sports betting but multiple attempts to legalize online sports betting have failed over the years.

Other states pending launch:

  • Alabama
  • Minnesota
  • Nebraska
  • New Mexico
  • Oregon
  • Washington
  • Wisconsin
