FanDuel continues to fill out its partnerships for Canada sports betting.
FanDuel Sportsbook is now an official sportsbook partner of the NFL for Canada sports betting, according to a release last week. The deal expands the brands’ relationship that already includes US sports betting.
“We’re thrilled to extend our partnership with the NFL to Canada,” FanDuel Canada General Manager Dale Hooper said in the release. “Ontario sports fans are passionate about American football, and this collaborative effort will bring them more ways to enjoy the sport with friends and family in a fun and responsible way.”

The multiyear agreement allows FanDuel to use NFL and team marks. FanDuel also gains the rights to create NFL-themed free-to-play games in Canada.
FanDuel can also run league-themed campaigns. That means the sportsbook can offer opportunities for customers to win trips to games, including the Super Bowl.
“With the FanDuel partnership in Canada we are able to provide fans with unique and entertaining experiences that will continue to drive high engagement for both organizations,” said NFL Canada Director of Corporate Partnerships Gavin Kemp said in the release. “FanDuel is an established global leader in the gaming space and we are excited to bring Canadian NFL fans even closer to the game.”

With Ontario sports betting in full swing, sportsbooks are looking for any advantage. Earlier this year, FanDuel partnered with TSN, the exclusive broadcast partner of NFL Canada.
The sportsbook and broadcast partner will integrate betting content, according to the release.
FanDuel also partnered with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, which owns the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors. Like the NFL, the NHL also expanded its partnership with FanDuel to include Canada.
NFL partnerships in Canada sports betting
The NFL previously made Ontario Lottery and Gaming‘s ProLine+ its first Canadian sports betting partner. The OLG also partnered with the NHL, NBA and MLB.
NFL betting is king in the US and it is expected to draw plenty of action in Canada. However, BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt told the Canadian Gaming Summit last month to temper expectations.
“We think that [the NFL] will probably be the biggest betting sport, but not by the margin that exists in the US,” Greenblatt said.
