With Maryland sports betting still preparing to launch, the Baltimore Ravens added a third sportsbook partner.

On the eve of NFL kickoffCaesars Sportsbook and the Ravens announced a new five-year partnership. Caesars’ Horseshoe Baltimore was already the team’s official casino partner.

The deal is the Ravens’ third sports betting partnership, joining DraftKings and BetMGM.

The MD sports betting market still does not have an official launch date but likely will not start this year.

What’s in the sports betting deal

Caesars Sportsbook receives naming rights throughout M&T Stadium‘s club level.

The sportsbook also receives naming rights to the team’s digital pre-game show and NFL Draft coverage, as well as the Flock Pick 6 game.

“This new agreement clearly establishes Caesars Sportsbook and Horseshoe Baltimore as the team’s most prominent sports betting partner and provides our customers with extraordinary access to Ravens games, signature events at M&T Bank Stadium, Ravens training camp – even the team’s away game trips and the Super Bowl,” Caesars Digital Co-President Chris Holdren said in a release.

Casino partnership expansion

The deal also expands the existing relationship with the Horseshoe Baltimore casino. Horseshoe Baltimore will host pre-game events on the M&T Stadium club level, including Ravenstown Saturday Night.

The two parties are working on an entertainment district linking the casino and the stadium.

“In collaboration with Caesars and Horseshoe Baltimore, we are not only continuing to develop unique fan activations but also transforming the city’s Southern Gateway into a diversified entertainment district unavailable to sports fans in other NFL markets,” Ravens Chief Sales Officer Kevin Rochlitz said in the release.

Three’s a crowd?

In May, the Ravens named BetMGM as an official gaming partner, a day after Gov. Larry Hogan signed sports betting legislation into law. The deal includes stadium signage, and exposure on the team’s digital and social media channels.

DraftKings inked a deal with the team in August, including sports betting and daily fantasy sports partner designations. The DraftKings partnership includes branded content on the team’s “The Lounge” podcast and title sponsorship of WBAL-1090 News Radio‘s Gameday Insider.

An NFL team signing three sports betting partners is not new, as last year the Denver Broncos rolled out three sportsbook partnerships.

Maryland sports betting coming soon?

The Maryland Register published the state’s sports betting rules Aug. 27, kicking off a 30-day public comment period. M&T Stadium is one of three sports facilities designated to receive a sports betting license in the enacting legislation.

The license gives the stadium the ability to open a retail sportsbook. However, none of the Ravens’ three partnership announcements included plans for a stadium sportsbook.

The state can award up to 60 mobile licenses as well, so all three of the Ravens’ sports betting partners are likely to operate mobile sportsbooks in the state once it launches.
