Alberta online casinos and sportsbooks are now live, though less than half of the gambling operators approved to launch actually did.
There are 22 new sites live, according to the Alberta iGaming Corporation‘s approved operators page. Play Alberta, the only option for legal sports betting and online casino in Alberta prior to Monday‘s launch, makes it 23 iGaming sites serving the province.
According to the Gaming Registrants list from Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis, there are 31 sites that are approved but not yet live. That new, searchable database is missing Super Group‘s Betway from the last update before operators went live.

Where is Betway?
Super Group received approvals for five of its brands under its subsidiary Cadtree. Only four, though, are listed in the database and Betway is missing from the group.
It is the second Super Group-owned brand to go missing from the approvals list. Grizzly’s Quest, which is not licensed in Ontario, disappeared in June
Super Group has not responded to multiple requests for comment. The AGLC does not comment on individual applications.
