One of the biggest gambling brands in the world is ready to launch when Alberta online casinos go live on July 13.
Bet365 was added to the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Gaming Registrations list on Monday. It registered both its casino and its sports betting platform, making it the sixth company indicating it will launch multiple platforms in the private Alberta online casino and sports betting market.
There are now 31 platforms registered to go live in the second Canadian province to privatize its iGaming market.
Growing list of Alberta online casinos
With under 50 days to go, more and more operators are getting their applications completed and their fees paid in time for launch.
Along with bet365, BetVictor was also added to the gaming registrants list on Monday.
More are expected to join the list in the next few weeks, considering there are 77 websites from 44 operators in Ontario.
Who will have multiple platforms?
Along with bet365, five operators are offering multiple platforms.
So far, Cadtree Limited leads the way with five branded platforms. Caesars, meanwhile, will launch three: its two standalone online casino apps, Caesars Palace and Horseshoe, along with its sportsbook including its integrated online casino.
The other three each have two platforms, including Electraworks and two known U.S. brands. DraftKings is launching both the DraftKings brand as well as its Golden Nugget brand while Bally’s is launching its BallyBet and Monopoly Casino brands.
Hard Rock entering Canada
One of the most well-known casino brands in the United States is crossing the border for the first time.
Hard Rock Digital received its first Canadian gaming license last week to launch in Ontario.
Considering the company took more than four years to expand into Ontario, Hard Rock may not be on the starting line for the Alberta launch.
