Flutter has announced that its FanDuel Casino Jackpots progressive jackpot system is now live across three states.
FanDuel online casino customers in Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania can opt in to the jackpots on eligible games. The mechanic adds 10 cents to any bet for a chance to win any of four jackpots.
The new feature is a product of Flutter’s acquisition of player engagement specialist BeyondPlay in February 2024 for $26 million.
The parent company of FanDuel Casino will report its first quarter earnings May 7.
Jackpots launch delivers on ‘promise’
More than 50,000 players have won since the jackpot system launched across select slots and table games earlier this year.
FanDuel’s US strategy is about “investing to win,” FanDuel Casino Managing Director Asaf Noifeld said at the time of the acquisition. The BeyondPlay team, meanwhile, has been “eagerly anticipating” the jackpot system launch.
“We are incredibly proud to deliver on our promise to the FanDuel team by providing them with best-in-class jackpot technology, leveraging the deep expertise of our team at BeyondPlay,” said Karolina Pelc, CEO of BeyondPlay.
“This launch is something we’ve been eagerly anticipating, and seeing it go live across three states is a true testament to the strength of collaboration between our teams — now all part of FanDuel.”
FanDuel online casino product growing
Flutter reported strong fourth-quarter iGaming numbers driven by “unparalleled scale and product innovation.”
Active monthly players grew 37%, with a 59% increase in direct casino players. Along with exclusive online casino games, FanDuel added sports-themed slot games to improve cross-selling from sports betting.
While company-specific information is limited in online casino states, FanDuel ranked a close second to BetMGM Casino in Michigan for the first quarter. BetMGM held a 27% share of the market while FanDuel held 26% with an 11-percentage-point lead over DraftKings Casino in third.
In New Jersey, FanDuel led with a 22% market share for the quarter. DraftKings was second at 20%, and BetMGM came third at 13%.
