One of the most interesting aspects to this year’s Super Bowl betting is the coaching matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. There is quite a big discrepancy in experience between the two head coaches. The Chiefs’ Andy Reid has the better resume, but much of that has to do with all of his experience.
Philadelphia fans could argue that Nick Sirianni actually has a better resume at the same stage of his career as Reid. Reid’s first head coaching gig was with the Eagles, and in his first three seasons, his most significant accomplishment was making an NFC championship. In Sirianni’s first three seasons, he has made the playoffs each year, and this will be his second Super Bowl appearance.

Andy Reid vs. Nick Sirianni head-to-head matchup
Sirianni has endured a significant amount of media criticism, especially for someone going to his second Super Bowl in his first three seasons as a head coach. However, he is going up against a coaching giant, Andy Reid, a Hall of Fame coach who is currently on a run that has been as good as any in NFL history.
Reid is a brilliant offensive mind, and Sirianni uses an analytics-based approach in much of his team’s playcalling. Reid continually surprises opponents with trick plays and design variations and keeps teams off balance. Sirianni may be one of the best up-and-coming coaches in the league, but Reid is one of the best of all time, and we have to give him the nod for coaching advantage.
