Tank Dell a popular bet without Collins, Diggs
The Texans will be without star receivers Nico Collins, who is still recovering from a hamstring injury, and Stefon Diggs, who suffered a torn ACL last week against the Colts.
The Jets’ offense is healthier by comparison, though it will be without wide receiver Allen Lazard and right guard Alijah Vera-Tucker, while right tackle Morgan Moses is questionable with a knee injury. On defense, New York will be without its two starting safeties, which could open up things for Houston wide receiver Tank Dell.
Tank Dell’s receptions prop is at 4.5 at BetMGM. His over is the book’s second most-bet player prop in this week’s Thursday Night Football odds, not including touchdown props.
Dell has gone over that mark twice in his four career games without Collins in the lineup, including in Week 6 this year. This will be his first full game playing without Diggs and Collins. He recorded four receptions for 35 yards last week as Diggs exited in the third quarter.
Most-bet player prop at BetMGM
The only non-touchdown player prop seeing more action is the over on Joe Mixon’s receiving yards.
At BetMGM, 99% of bets are on Mixon going over 24.5 receiving yards, which opened at 23.5.
In his three games without Collins this year, Mixon has gone over that mark twice, including last week against the Colts. He faces a Jets defense that’s limited opposing running backs to the ninth-fewest receiving yards per game this season.
Mixon is also the sportsbook’s most popular choice to score the game’s first touchdown at +400.
Aaron Rodgers leads all Jets props
Texans dominate the top four most bet non-touchdown player props, followed by an Aaron Rodgers prop.
Aaron Rodgers over 1.5 passing touchdowns is BetMGM’s most fight, most popular prop, and most popular featuring a Jet. Over 99% of bets are on the over.
Rodgers is coming fresh off a two-touchdown performance in Week 8’s loss to the Patriots. He has gone over this mark five times in eight games this season.
Since 1990, Rodgers is second among all quarterbacks in passing touchdowns on Thursday night, with 34, behind only Payton Manning.
