Player props for Miami vs. California

How Cam Ward could get over 299.5 passing yards

This season, Ward has more than 300 passing yards in every game, with his lowest mark coming in Week 2 against Florida A&M, when he had 304. He’s averaging 356.4 passing yards per game and is second in the country in passing yards with 1,782.

How Cam Ward could get under 299.5 passing yards

The Hurricanes will be on the road in California as 10.5-point favorites. If Miami lives up to that spread, there’s always a chance that the quarterback may pass less, and traveling west could present a set of challenges that’s difficult to quantify.

As for his opponent, Ward will take on a Cal defense that is allowing just 182.2 passing yards per game so far. The Bears have played Florida State, San Diego State, Auburn, and UC Davis this season. UC Davis quarterback Miles Hastings has the most passing yards in a single game against Cal with 221.

How Xavier Restrepo could get an any time TD

Restrepo has a touchdown in four of five games this season. He’s had five receptions or more in three games.

Restrepo lines up in the slot 90.4% of the time. Cal’s slot cornerback, Lu-Magia Hearns III, has allowed seven receptions on nine targets for 101 yards this season.

How Xavier Restrepo could miss an any time TD

Restrepo didn’t have a touchdown in Week 5, where Miami scored a season-low 38 points.

Also, Hearns III has allowed a lot of catches when looking at the targets thrown his way, but he hasn’t allowed a touchdown.

Instead, he has one interception. Restrepo also has fewer than 100 yards in three straight games.
