Business By The Books: IGT, FanDuel Renew In-Person Sports Betting Deal

IGT renewed its agreement to run in-person sports betting at FanDuel‘s sportsbooks across North America.

The four-year renewal continues a deal that extends back to 2018, when the Flutter-owned FanDuel opened its first US sportsbook at the Meadowlands in New Jersey.

The two have been exclusive in-person betting partners since 2020.

“Given IGT’s experience as a global land-based casino supplier, we believe it offers the experience and capabilities we needed supporting our retail locations,” FanDuel President Christian Genetski said.

Bet365 opens US sports betting headquarters

UK sports betting giant bet365 opened a 120,000-square-foot headquarters in Denver on Monday.

A company spokesperson called the opening a “watershed moment in bet365’s North American journey.

The headquarters creates almost 1,000 new jobs with up to 300 expected this year.

BetMGM JV partner has new chair

One-half of BetMGM‘s ownership is now operating under a new board chair.

Entain confirmed Monday morning that former interim CEO Stella David is now the chair of the board, replacing Barry Gibson.

Entain announced the planned changes earlier this year. David was replaced at CEO by gaming industry vet Gavin Isaacs.

Underdog again on ‘Top 50’ list

Underdog made LinkedIn‘s list of Top 50 Startups for the second straight year.

The company ranked No. 15 on the list. Underdog offers fantasy sports contests in 41 states and opened its first sportsbook in North Carolina this year.

It is the only sports gaming company to make the list since Underdog was founded in 2020, according to the company.
