Tampa Bay Buccaneers Wild Card Injury Report - Baker Mayfield Questionable

Through four weeks of the NFL season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 3-1, with their lone loss coming against the defending NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles. Quarterback Baker Mayfield and the rest of the Buccaneers have played above expectations.

Below, we’ll look at how the Buccaneers’ odds have shifted since they opened and look at some upcoming prime-time matchups.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ NFC South odds shift

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers entered the 2023-24 season with sportsbooks generally setting their line for total wins at around 6.5. Now, depending on the NFL betting site you look at, that number is up to around 9.5. The Buccaneers have a bye in Week 5 but return in Week 6 to take on the Detroit Lions at home.

As mentioned, Mayfield’s performance has been a catalyst for their success. So far, he’s completed 69.6% of his passes for 893 yards, seven touchdowns, and two interceptions. He’s averaging 7.1 yards per attempt and has an average depth of target of 8.1 yards.

On passes 20-plus yards downfield, he’s completed four passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns. His leading receiver is veteran Mike Evans, who has 20 receptions on 30 targets for 337 yards and three touchdowns.

In Tampa Bay’s Week 4 win over the New Orleans Saints, Mayfield completed 25 of 32 passes for 246 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Wide receiver Chris Godwin led the receiving marks with eight catches for 114 yards. The Buccaneers won, 26-9.

Their next four matchups are against the Lions, Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills, and Houston Texans
