E&K: ‘Significant’ gap after top in-play sportsbooks
FanDuel, DraftKings and bet365 ranked first through third, respectively, in Eilers & Krejcik review of in-play betting on US sportsbooks.
The July report noted FanDuel scored 17 points out of a possible 20 points and offered few weaknesses relative to the other 14 apps tested. The app fell short on quick depositing from within the betslip and live streaming, the E&K team found.
DraftKings (16.4 points) ranked behind on user experience and did not process bets as quickly as FanDuel or bet365 (16.0 points). The fastest “by far” for in-play bets was bet365.
The reported noted a “significant gap” between the top three, and fourth-ranked Tipico (15.1 points) and fifth-ranked PointsBet (14.9 points). Each had bright spots, though: Tipico’s bet-processing times and layout impressed while PointsBet posted “good but not great” scores across the board.
